I agree that TV is better than movies now, and I don't really go to the movies anymore.

Some TV is good. But the problem is unless you are HBO or one of the other big pay channels, you don't have even close to the budget of a big time box office movie. So everything they use, from the actors, directors, sets on down are very inferior to big budget films...Every once in a while they produce a gem of a movie or mini-series on a smaller budget, like the recent OJ series, but it doesn't happen very often.

The shows on HBO Showtime are better than movies. And there's been more than a few gems, Breaking Bad, Fargo, Walking Dead, ect. There's plenty of great series out there. i don't even have time to watch them all.

"You're the Worst" "Baskets" "It's Always Sunny" Three more great shows that are on regular cable. I'm always let down by movies, and I usually wait for them to be on HBO or Showtime.

Already watching it.

Finally started watching Shameless, that's an old one I hadn't seen yet.

I thought you were mainly talking about TV movies. I agree that many of the tv series are very good for what they are. They definitely keep me entertained. Both seasons of Fargo were very clever for TV fare.. True Detective was great in the first year. It fell off the cliff in it's second season. But I still have hope for it. Shameless is great. I've watched it from the beginning. I also like Billions, even though none of the characters in that show are very likable...
