As far as teams lack of sportmanship the Philly pitching staff of 1929 takes the cake. The Giants & Phillies ended the season in a doubleheader with Mel Ott & Chuck Klein having both tied the NL record for HR's with 42
a piece. In the first game Klein hit his 43rd HR breaking the NL record, from that time on the Philly pitchers refused to pitch to Ott. They issued Ott 5 straight walks even one with the bases loaded, insuring the HR crown to Klein and the new NL record for round trippers!

I was in high school whenthe OSU/Minn game brawl happened. That was on National TV back in the day when there was only one game a weak. It was ugly as hell. Man, Luke Witte really took a beating, seemed like noone had his back at all as it looked liked he was still getting trampled on whe he was lying face down on the court. And this incident was the beginning of the end for OSU coach Fred Taylor. A fantastic coach and person for the Buckeyes. A very unheralded basketball man who already won 2 championships before this incident. There couldn't of been a nicer man in coaching. It was pretty much all downhill for him after the fight, saying he was having a hard time dealing with the sheer violence of all that took place on the court that day.
