What happened? They still even to this day put on the best live show
on the land. Granted their new album Operation mindcrime sucks ass. I do
however think Operation Mindcrime is best album ever made by any band.
The religious and political themes are unreal and it's just pure American metal/rock. Best album song for song. They still pack amphitheaters today
playing an album from 20 years ago. That says a lot. I have seen them perform the complete Operation Mindcrime album twice in the last 2 years. Can i ask you what band could perform live in concert their whole album from 20 years ago and still get away with it and still have fans coming back to see it again and again? Not many.

I love queensryche. Art metal rules. I just saw them at house of blues in LV, they released operation mindcrime II and are performing both I and II in their entirety. Great show if you were a fan, Band is tight as hell and Geoff Tate still hits most of the ball squeezers. Obviously the first half of the concert was the best, II doesn't quite live up to I.

Their fans are loyal as all hell. They came out for the encore and played Empire and Jet City Woman and Tate didn't even need to sing, the crowd was drowning him out.

Don't tell Tesco Vee you are a fan, he will pull out a picture of the band from the 80's and embarass us all. They really did dress like homos. But they did transcend glam metal...great musicianship...great lyrics...read Operation Mindcrime, still relevant today.

"I used to trust the media to tell me the truth, tell us the truth. But now I see the payoffs everywhere I look, who do you trust when everyone's a crook." Revolution Calling (nearly 20 years old now)

They were not glam metal. Evey band in 80's was either glam or speed. There are not many tweeners. Queensryche are the kings of progressive metal. They only dressed like homos up to '86. :}

I have some good memories set to the soundtrack of Jet City Woman, love the Queensryche.Very underrated.

Seriously underrated IMO is tool. There is simply no mainstream appreciation/recognition for the levels at which this band operates.Sure they sell records and sell out arenas but I dont think thats what were talking about. To see and appreciate the details, the entire package, keeps them in a league of their own these days.Instead the airwaves and award shows are filled with utter trash.Tool gets their props but relatively speaking they are a small blip on the radar.

Stones are soooooo overrated but Pearl Jam is not.I wouldnt exactly say they are underrated either.

Dave Matthews....good show to go to for putang but hugely overrated.

Veruca Salt Underrated.

Jay Z-doent get much more overrated than Hova.

Smashing Pumpkins-underrated.

Who said Jimmy Buffett? See Dave Matthews-same applies.

NWA underrated

Phish....OVERRATED

Dont know if it counts...Peter Gabriel solo underrated.

Boss Tones..Im from Boston,maybe its just me-overrated.

Beasties def underrated.

guns-n-roses?

Use to love that video by Squeeze, "Tempted" by the Fruit of Another. The blond backup singer was dead ringer for girlfriend at time.
