I authored a thread around a year ago titled "Big Ben Sucks". My main point was, when it comes time to produce for a victory, Big Ben doesn't. He's great when he can hand the ball of 75% of the time and the defense creates turnovers for scores or short fields. He has not yet proven, IMO, that he is the type of quarterback that can lead a team to victory, when the chips are down. And for the Steelers this year, the chips are down and so is Big Ben. I know he had motorcycle accident and a concussion earlier this season, but if the Steelers ran the ball and defended last year, like they do this year, they would still be around 4-7. Big Ben doesn't win games, but he's good at not losing games, when his team has control.

How is Ben overrated??? That's the first I ever heard of that. As for as Michael Vick. Running backs run, Quarterbacks throw.

Valid points about Big Ben in here, but it's still Vick who's the most overrated, and it's not even close.

Big Ben is injured, maybe permanently. Has to cover it up to protect
the enormous salary. Not the same guy.....

Vick is one of the most over-rated players of all time. He is also
a poor excuse of a human being, getting paid millions and
flippin off thjose who suppport him.

why debate over whose worse, just conclude that at the present moment, they are both terrible quarterbacks.

All the Steeler haters piling on when they are down. Ben won 15 straight as a rookie and the Bowl as a 2nd year player, but he is overrated? What a joke.

Vick is the poster boy for today's sports world: All hype, and no results.

they both are and always were overrated in my opinion. Even when Ben was winning he wasn't putting up big numbers, he just wasn't fucking up.

But the difference is Michael Vick is the highest paid player in the NFL and he suck that bad.

Next thing you know, people are gonna think the Falcons lost because Vick ran to pad his numbers yesterday. Any person that watched that game can blame #87 Lelie, #84 (White I think) and the moron coverages on the Devery Henderson and Copper TDs.....

yea Vick doesn't have the best WR's but did you see the passes he was throwing. Not just yesterday but every day. Marvin Harrison couldn't bring them in. They are always high or behind the WR. And who tought him to carry the ball. He fumbles at least once a game running with the ball like he does. This is his 6th year and it's time to call it what it is. He's a bottom tier passer that can run the ball better than anyone. period. He will never be a good passing QB and he will always be very inconsistent in his play.

Related question: If Vick is such a great runner why not put him at rb or wr? Passing is his big weakness which(just talking crazy here) might be a drawback for a QUARTERBACK!

Roethlisberger...

If he wants to take all the glory for winning a SuperBowl...

Then he has to take all the crap when it goes bad...

He leads the NFL in INT's this season...which is inexcusable.

i think big ben is more overrated. vick is a special breed of QB, 1,000 yard runner who could potentially be a good passer if he had some reliable WR's. No back has his speed, not even LT.

Hahahahaha, that's like during the Sunday Night Football game when Kordell Stewart was the starting QB for the Bears, Paul Maguire saying "Throwing the ball is not Kordell Stewart's strength"
