People "say" that gambling and drinking and drugs have to go together ..im an example that is NOT the case. perhaps I rub off on a few people that they do not have to drink or drugs to gamble, If I did I am very happy ...

good job ken and congrats you can do it! :dancefool :suomi:

Memorable for me

Changing the entire Rx. software package from Info-Pop to V-Bulletin has been a huge success that entailed a lot of work by Rx. managemnet and staff. The down times were becoming intolerable. We are still discovering new features to make the site better for our posters. Not very dramatic, but an important and memorable event at the Rx. this year.

I think the transistion between ownership of TheRx ranks highly. I think it is safe to say many wondered how things would transpire. I do not know that it could have went better.

Ditto, I have never touched a drug in my life. I'll drink casually every couple of months but that's about it. I gamble a lot of $$$$ and like to do it with a clear head and all my brain cells in tact

quote Shrink: ...when I posted as SCARLETT (my wife) accidentally, that was FUNNY....

Thank God, she decided to post, attend the RX bash, and convince you guys that she really exists...

You tease... D'ja ever stop & think how you disappointed so many here?!!?!!

This is a hard time of year, but so far, I have not drank...

That is outfreakingstanding!!! That would take top prize in its own category(maybe we should start a separate thread)-- Feat of The Year, no-- make that: Feat of the Present Century...

Salute!!

On a serious note, I have tremendous respect for anyone who is a recovering Alcoholic/Drug addict...

The alcohol gene runs rampid in my family, as both my Dad and his Mother were bad drunks...

I have been fighting this all my life and although not perfect, I have had more sobriety this year than ever before...

This is a hard time of year, but so far, I have not drank...

Can anyone else relate?

Best wishes,

Ken

I certainly can...My father, (god rest his soul) was an alcoholic, and a gambler, and a smoker...I only picked up one of his bad habits luckily...

I occasionally drink, but can hold my liquor quite well, i bet I had 20 drinks in the sportsbook sitting with Mike and Tim, betting the games, but was still sober when i went to my room (no wheelchair necessary), and i bet i havent had 6 drinks total, since i have been home...I can really do with it, or without it...Never drink alone either...Have never smoked, and have NEVER touched any drug...I know i have an addictive personality, so i figure if i dont try it, I dont know what I am missing..

I too have great respect for anyone who can recover from such bad habits, as i saw my dad try to quit many times, and just couldnt.....

Kudos to anyone who does....

God Bless

Journeyman scamming me out of my contest prize was the thread of eyar to me! OR at least that was my most viewed thread of the year. But then again, I dont read too many of the other posts.

But that Fingerlakes thread was one of the best besides the Journeyman scam!

Thanks for some of your kind posts regarding my problems with alcohol...

But getting back to the original topic, I believe STING'S FEEBLE MINDED thread once again was the top one as far as page views and hits are concerned...
