ORIOLES

Adding Javey and Miguel to this crappy ballclub is a HUGE improvement.

Yanks about the same as last year.

And what is Boston going to do now that they have alienated the middle of their order?

Is the trade a done deal?

Wow, just when you thought the Sox had it all going their way, they go and destroy the team chemistry?! Nomar/Manny

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

Astros....because they never reload with this many quality players. As long as they can keep Hidalgo then they will be OK.
The Yankees always reload. The Sox have to contend with the Yanks....so whatever they do they always seem to play the bastard child in the AL East. IMO

I think the Angels or Orioles will be amongst the biggest W-L column differentials, but also must look at playoff-fringe Phillies and Astros as potential party-crashers this summer.

Both Phils & Stros rounded out their 1-2 punch staffs to four and five man rotations, and the Phils now have a pen to hold up those early leads, both just need some better quality AB's from existing players at plate(mainly a return to form by Burrell and Hidalgo is needed for both teams), also both have nice AAA talent ready to shine on the mound and at the plate.

The RedSox, Marlins, Cubs, Oakland, and now Astros(4 Aces!) all have the combination that has been the best post-season formula of the past four years(IF NOT EVER), and that being a dominating set of Aces, yet Oakland has lacked the the Offensive punch(bombless since Giambi departure).

Too bad SF and Toronto have such anchors in an dominant Ace and MVP franchise batters in the OF, yet little more than journeymen surrounding them..bust!

Of the other contenders(NYY, KC, CWS, ATL, SEA, Minny, NYM, AZ, St.L), I expect only 2 or 3 of them to make the playoffs at best.

Of course the Astros are now the best! The Angels will be lucky to win their own division I think

Players- nWhat is the health status of Oswalt and Miller? are they expected to be 100%...What are they saying down there in Houston? If all breaks right they have 4 legit #1`s....Rocket could win 50 games over the next 3 years, don`t count him out he may pitch 3 more years lol!

I added up the W/L record of those 4 guys the past 3 years...It was staggering, and the 5th starter is no slouch either...the future is now in Houston! Biggio/ Bagwell window is almost closed...

Well Biggio is done after this year most likely. But hte Astros will keep him around because he is a fan favorite as is Bagwell. In this day of free agency, Biggio/Bagwell sure have stayed with the team for a long time.

Bagwell needs shoulder surgery and cant throw the ball anymore. He really needs to be with a team that has the DH because of his arm.

Watch out for a guy named Carlos Hernandez. He is a starter of the future but he got injured 2 years in a row, once while running the bases.

Houston has Brandon Duckworth now as well

the yankees should get the vote as least improved. they have huge holes all over their pitching staff, except for riviera.

they cannot beat boston over 162 games and probably will not make the playoffs
