I don't have any plays yet, but just wanted to point out that there is a holiday coming up again tomorrow. Our friend Cody Reed.jpg is pitching again. We haven't lost a wager against him yet. Last time out we had the Cards beating him, and the over 9 was a push. We have the same match up tomorrow with Wacha going for the Cards, except this one is in St Louis. We're going to wait for the TTs and 1st 5s to come out tomorrow, then decide what is the best play.

Reds/Cards over 9 -110 2.2/2 POD

I've been thinking what play makes the most sense for the holiday. You really can't take the Cards at -190. There's a pretty decent chance the Cards could lose this game. I can see Reed giving up 3-5 runs in 3-5 innings, then Reds pen, which is doing much better lately, shutting the Cards down. And the Reds have a good possibility of lighting up Wacha, who can give up some runs, a little more so at home. The way I see this game, either team is capable of scoring 6-7 runs, maybe both.

I may put 2-3 more units on this game later.

10 is a shit load of runs for these 2 teams to score vs these pitchers. Neither teams hitters are batting particularly well vs opposing starters. On top of that, 8 of last 10 meetings have been 9 or fewer runs, 8 of Tampa's last 10 have been 9 or fewer, and Toronto's last 7 games have gone under 9. Neither Dickey nor Odorizzi were involved in any of the few games that went over.

This one's for you Indy. I've gotta give a lean on that over. Duffy is a red hot mess right now. And the Twins have been smacking the ball around pretty good. IMO, taking the Astros is the better play. McHugh had one atrocious performance against the Tigers, but he's more than capable of a strong performance. Twins hitters have only scored 4 runs vs McHugh in 57 at bats, which comes to just over 2 rpg. I just don't trust the Astros bats enough to push the game total to 10 runs.

Fulmer and the hot Detroit bats should be able to take care of the Mariners. Tigers have won the past 9 of 10. Mariner's recent good hitting has been against mostly below average pitching. Fulmer is well above average.

Thanks cgarn. And of course I'm playing Penny's play. Not including it in my record because I wouldn't have played it if it wasn't his pick. That's it for now kids. Maybe I see something else later, but I doubt it.

Not that it really matters but Detroit has won 8 of past 10 (today & Thursday), unless you meant against Seattle. In that case I wouldn't know & don't feel like looking it up. GL on your plays Mo.

You're correct Buckeye. Stats I was looking at didn't have today's games in yet. Thank you.

Indy, I think you're over on the Astros/Twins game is a good one. I'm going with it. Paying more juice on it now though.

I think you'll be fine. Your sane, logical approach has handsomely paid you dividends for awhile now. Stick through the tough times with logic, sound reasoning and patience and you'll look back and smile at this "slump".
