Tax evaders are conservative patriots!

God Bless America!

O! say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming.
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming.
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Regarding this tread's title, "More evidence that words are cheap," I humbly submit the following evidence:

 • Duke Cunningham (R-CA) Asked by U.S. District Judge Larry Burns if he had accepted cash and gifts and then tried to influence the Defense Department on behalf of the donors, Cunningham said, "Yes, your honor."

 • Newt Gingrich (R-GA) Former House speaker... Newt Gingrich has confessed, telling conservative Christian leader James Dobson that he was cheating on his wife at around the same time the House was impeaching President Bill Clinton. So much for the "Family Values" plank he constructed for the GOP platform.

 • Mark Foley (R-FL) Resigned after trying to solicit sex from male congressional pages via an instant messenger program. The conversations included his asking a sixteen-year-old "stud" whether his penis was erect and requesting that he take out and measure his penis.

 • Larry Craig (R-ID) arrested on July 11, 2007, by plainclothes police officer investigating complaints of lewd behavior in a Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport airport men's room. On August 8 in Hennepin County Municipal Court in Bloomington, Minnesota, Craig entered a guilty plea and paid a $500 fine.

 • Ted Stevens (R-AK) Sen. Ted Stevens, the longest-serving Republican senator and a figure in Alaska politics since before statehood, was indicted on seven counts of failing to disclose thousands of dollars in services he received from a company that helped renovate his home.

 • Bernard Kerik Bush nominated former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik to head the Department of Homeland Security in 2004. The nomination fell through when it emerged that Kerik's nanny was an illegal immigrant. He also had an extramarital affair with publishing dynamo Judith Regan in an apartment donated as a rest stop for 9/11workers, and he did business with the allegedly mob-linked Interstate Industrial Corporation.

 • Lester Crawford Former FDA Commissioner and Bush appointee Lester Crawford recently pleaded guilty to conflict of interest and false reporting for owning stock in companies he oversawas part of his FDA duties. He was fined $90,000 and sentenced to three years of probation. While heading the FDA, he owned stock in Pepsico Inc., Sysco Corp., and Embrex Inc., a drug company.

 • Tom Delay (R-TX) The House ethics committee admonished Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Tex.) for offering a political favor to a Michigan lawmaker in exchange for the member's vote on last year's hard-fought Medicare prescription drug bill.

 • John Doolittle (R-CA) The FBI raided the home of California Rep. John Doolittle in April 2007 as part of the Jack Abramoff probe. Doolittle reportedly accepted $14,000 in campaign donations from Abramoff—and a lot more than that from Abramoff's clients.

That is all.

For now.

Obama performance chief Killefer out, citing taxes

WASHINGTON (AP) - Nancy Killefer withdrew her candidacy to be the first chief performance officer for the federal government on Tuesday, saying she didn't want her bungling of payroll taxes on her household help to become a distraction for the Obama administration.

Killefer was the second major nominee to withdraw. Within hours, former Sen. Tom Daschle also withdrew his nomination to be secretary of health and human services.

Kiln needs a history lesson now.

Do I really need to start talking about an impeached federal judge presently serving as a Democratic Congressman? Or highly regarded Democratic elder Senators that committed vehicular homicide or started and ran the KKK chapter in their home state?

Please, both sides have criminals. Only one side elects and reelects them.

I'm sorry Obama's words are so shallow, but anyone with a pulse can see that they are.

willie99 needs a reading lesson now.

I chose my words carefully enough that the ideological fog, through which everything you apprehend is filtered, would be penetrated. I said rather clearly that I offer evidence to support your claim that "words are cheap." Is your judgement so clouded with the bitterness and animus of the abject failure of your party that you aren't even able to discern when someone is agreeing with you? For shame, for shame.

Oh my god...there are so many Republican sex scandals that there's actually a wiki chronicling them!

http://www.dkosopedia.com/wiki/Republican_Sex_Scandals

So much for "family values."

stone cold proof, values suck and we need more single welfare moms and late-term abortions

poor Kiln, he evidently can't even see "Changefest09" is an unprecedented and spooky circle jerk. He actually thinks everybody does it.

"Obama's words are cheap", well he counters with "so are Tim Foley's" :missingte

what happens to the likes of Foley in the GOP? no love affair, that's for sure

looney libby logic at it's finest, "it's a wast wight wing wepublican conspiwacy"
