Global warming has been thoroughly discredited and debunked by all but a few moonbats...and a few so called scientists still looking to get on the government dole.

Even NASA had to admit its statisitics had a major math error wiping out all the warming of the last century. Oops!

right, like the millions of years history of the earth's warming and cooling means something

:lolBIG:

the same people who believe the POTUS micro manages the world believe man controls the earth's climate changes.

I guess some need to keep life simple, need to believe we can simply flip a switch.

BTW: the earth's temperatures are lower this year. Is it because man changed something, or is it because there is less solar activity on the Sun's surface?

I choose the later, and hope that trend doesn't continue. I can see the 2012 Presidential Election, "I have a plan to increase Sunspots so we can conserve on oil and create millions of new high paying jobs for Americans".

My opponent doesn't care about the reduction in Solar activity. You see, this enablers his rich oil company friends to get richer.

Chorus: "fuck the greedy Republicans, fuck the oil companies, we need more Sunspots".

Every news organization but Fox: "people support the Democratic candidate because they trust him to increase Sunspots and create millions of new high paying jobs"

19 of 30 found on Cape had died

By Casey Ramsdell, Globe Correspondent | November 25, 2008
It's not an unusual sight from Halloween to the middle of December to see turtles suffering from hypothermia washed ashore on Cape Cod beaches.
But what is unusual is the number of turtles that are dying, which can be attributed to the unusually low temperatures hitting the coast over the past week.
Thirty Kemp's Ridley sea turtles have been reported on the beaches since Thursday, and 36 have been found in total. Of the 30, 19 were found dead.
The turtles are the most endangered sea turtles in the world.
Most of these who beached weigh between 3 and 6 pounds, said Tony LaCasse, a spokesman for the New England Aquarium in Boston. An adult sea turtle can weigh anywhere from 75 to 100 pounds. He said that the young turtles can get confused when they end up on the north side of Cape Cod instead of the south side. The sea turtles, which come to the area to feed on crabs, then try to follow their instincts to swim south.
As the water gets colder, their body temperature slowly goes down, LaCasse said, and they bob in the water barely moving their bodies. The wind then blows the turtles to shore.
Volunteers frequently walk the beaches on the north side of the Cape early in the morning and look for stranded turtles. When they find one they notify the Massachusetts Audubon Society's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, which collects it and brings it to the New England Aquarium. "They really are playing beat the clock," LaCasse said.
Once the turtles are in Boston, workers at the aquarium slowly try to bring up the sea turtles' body temperature over several days.
LaCasse said that this year's mortality rate among the beached turtles "is way off the charts," and he said the "extraordinary cold snap" was clearly linked to the increase in fatalities. But it is not all bad news on the beach.
A 40-pound loggerhead sea turtle was recently found with a 35-degree body temperature, which is extremely low, LaCasse said, but it is now making a full recovery.

Interesting

A lot of the "so called" experts are funded by Bush's big oil buddies and
the Bush Adminstration has tried to shut down scientists who have
spoke out against what is going on

Look at the first treaty Bush broke ... the Kyoto Treaty

If Bush and company says Global Warming ain't real and its backed by
Rhodes Scholars Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh then why should
the avg person be concerned as Bush has never been wrong before

Bush: Global Warming Real
http://whyfiles.org/updates/080global_warm/index.html

In a striking about-face, the Bush administration has acknowledged that Earth is warming, and that the most likely cause is burning fossil fuels. The "U.S. Climate Action Report" acknowledged that global warming would "most likely" destroy alpine meadows, barrier islands and coral reefs. It may also cause the disintegration of southern forests. In the West, a decline in snow cover is expected to worsen water problems.

While growth of farm crops and forests is expected to increase, so will storms. Warming will also increase heat stress, air pollution and diseases transmitted by insects and rodents. Nonetheless, the report did not call for measures to combat warming, like conserving fossil fuels or finding alternative sources of energy. Rather, it said Earth and earthlings should adapt to warming.

The report was posted without fanfare on the website of the Environmental Protection Agency.

In finally admitting what scientists have been saying for years * that emissions of greenhouse gases are the most likely cause of global warming, the report marked a "stark shift" for the Bush administration, as The New York Times noted.

National Intelligence Council report: sun setting on the American century

The report said that global warming will aggravate the scarcity of water, food and energy resources

The next two decades will see a world living with the daily threat of nuclear war, environmental catastrophe and the decline of America as the dominant global power, according to a frighteningly bleak assessment by the US intelligence community.

“The world of the near future will be subject to an increased likelihood of conflict over resources, including food and water, and will be haunted by the persistence of rogue states and terrorist groups with greater access to nuclear weapons,” said the report by the National Intelligence Council, a body of analysts from across the US intelligence community.

The analysts said that the report had been prepared in time for Barack Obama’s entry into the Oval office on January 20, where he will be faced with some of the greatest challenges of any newly elected US president.

“The likelihood that nuclear weapons will be used will increase with expanded access to technology and a widening range of options for limited strikes,” the 121-page assessment said.

The analysts draw attention to an already escalating nuclear arms race in the Middle East and anticipate that a growing number of rogue states will be prepared to share their destructive technology with terror groups. “Over the next 15-20 years reactions to the decisions Iran makes about its nuclear programme could cause a number of regional states to intensify these efforts and consider actively pursuing nuclear weapons,” the report Global Trends 2025 said. “This will add a new and more dangerous dimension to what is likely to be increasing competition for influence within the region,” it said.

The spread of nuclear capabilities will raise questions about the ability of weak states to safeguard them, it added. “If the number of nuclear-capable states increases, so will the number of countries potentially willing to provide nuclear assistance to other countries or to terrorists.”

The report said that global warming will aggravate the scarcity of water, food and energy resources. Citing a British study, it said that climate change could force up to 200 million people to migrate to more temperate zones. “Widening gaps in birth rates and wealth-to-poverty ratios, and the impact of climate change, could further exacerbate tensions,” it said.

“The international system will be almost unrecognisable by 2025, owing to the rise of emerging powers, a globalising economy, a transfer of wealth from West to East, and the growing influence of nonstate actors. Although the United States is likely to remain the single most powerful actor, the United States’ relative strength – even in the military realm – will decline and US leverage will become more strained.”

Global power will be multipolar with the rise of India and China, and the Korean peninsula will be unified in some form. Turning to the current financial situation, the analysts say that the financial crisis on Wall Street is the beginning of a global economic rebalancing.

The US dollar’s role as the major world currency will weaken to the point where it becomes a “first among equals”.

“Strategic rivalries are most likely to revolve around trade, investments and technological innovation, but we cannot rule out a 19th-century-like scenario of arms races, territorial expansion and military rivalries.” The report, based on a global survey of experts and trends, was more pessimistic about America’s global status than previous outlooks prepared every four years. It said that outcomes will depend in part on the actions of political leaders. “The next 20 years of transition to a new system are fraught with risks,” it said.

The analysts also give warning that the kind of organised crime plaguing Russia could eventually take over the government of an Eastern or Central European country, and that countries in Africa and South Asia may find themselves ungoverned, as states wither away under pressure from security threats and diminishing resources..

The US intelligence community expects that terrorism would survive until 2025, but in slightly different form, suggesting that alQaeda’s “terrorist wave” might be breaking up. “AlQaeda’s inability to attract broad-based support might cause it to decay sooner than people think,” it said.

On a positive note it added that an alternative to oil might be in place by 2025.

It's definatly real. Can no longer be disputed.

Completely and utterly false.

It is NOT real...and it should be disputed for the junk science and strong arm tactics it represents.

This can no longer be disputed...too many lies have been uncovered by biased scientists pimping for grant money. :ohno:

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>A surreal scientific blunder last week raised a huge question mark about the temperature records that underpin the worldwide alarm over global warming. On Monday, Nasa's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), which is run by Al Gore's chief scientific ally, Dr James Hansen, and is one of four bodies responsible for monitoring global temperatures, announced that last month was the hottest October on record.

</CENTER></TD></TR><TR><TD class=caption><CENTER>A sudden cold snap brought snow to London in October</CENTER></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>Read more from Christopher Booker This was startling. Across the world there were reports of unseasonal snow and plummeting temperatures last month, from the American Great Plains to China, and from the Alps to New Zealand. China's official news agency reported that Tibet had suffered its "worst snowstorm ever". In the US, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration registered 63 local snowfall records and 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month, and ranked it as only the 70th-warmest October in 114 years.
So what explained the anomaly? GISS's computerised temperature maps seemed to show readings across a large part of Russia had been up to 10 degrees higher than normal. But when expert readers of the two leading warming-sceptic blogs, Watts Up With That and Climate Audit, began detailed analysis of the GISS data they made an astonishing discovery. The reason for the freak figures was that scores of temperature records from Russia and elsewhere were not based on October readings at all. Figures from the previous month had simply been carried over and repeated two months running.
EU facing revolt over climate change target enforcement<!--MPU BLOCKED BY PAGECLASS-->
EU plans new energy deals
Himalayan glaciers 'could disappear completely by 2035' The error was so glaring that when it was reported on the two blogs - run by the US meteorologist Anthony Watts and Steve McIntyre, the Canadian computer analyst who won fame for his expert debunking of the notorious "hockey stick" graph - GISS began hastily revising its figures. This only made the confusion worse because, to compensate for the lowered temperatures in Russia, GISS claimed to have discovered a new "hotspot" in the Arctic - in a month when satellite images were showing Arctic sea-ice recovering so fast from its summer melt that three weeks ago it was 30 per cent more extensive than at the same time last year.
A GISS spokesman lamely explained that the reason for the error in the Russian figures was that they were obtained from another body, and that GISS did not have resources to exercise proper quality control over the data it was supplied with. This is an astonishing admission: the figures published by Dr Hansen's institute are not only one of the four data sets that the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) relies on to promote its case for global warming, but they are the most widely quoted, since they consistently show higher temperatures than the others.
If there is one scientist more responsible than any other for the alarm over global warming it is Dr Hansen, who set the whole scare in train back in 1988 with his testimony to a US Senate committee chaired by Al Gore. Again and again, Dr Hansen has been to the fore in making extreme claims over the dangers of climate change. (He was recently in the news here for supporting the Greenpeace activists acquitted of criminally damaging a coal-fired power station in Kent, on the grounds that the harm done to the planet by a new power station would far outweigh any damage they had done themselves.)
Yet last week's latest episode is far from the first time Dr Hansen's methodology has been called in question. In 2007 he was forced by Mr Watts and Mr McIntyre to revise his published figures for US surface temperatures, to show that the hottest decade of the 20th century was not the 1990s, as he had claimed, but the 1930s.
Another of his close allies is Dr Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the IPCC, who recently startled a university audience in Australia by claiming that global temperatures have recently been rising "very much faster" than ever, in front of a graph showing them rising sharply in the past decade. In fact, as many of his audience were aware, they have not been rising in recent years and since 2007 have dropped.
Dr Pachauri, a former railway engineer with no qualifications in climate science, may believe what Dr Hansen tells him. But whether, on the basis of such evidence, it is wise for the world's governments to embark on some of the most costly economic measures ever proposed, to remedy a problem which may actually not exist, is a question which should give us all pause for thought.

what can't be disputed?

climate change? which as been going on throughout the history of the earth? you're right, can't be disputed, although the direction of the temperatures has frequently changed.

man made global warming? now that's totally different, and can be disputed very easily.
