Moore complements Bush for inaction for 7 minutes, because it took Kerry 40 minutes.

Hypocrite Kerry 'Couldn't Think' for 40 Minutes on 9/11

John Kerry is getting his comeuppance for his snotty comments about President Bush's actions on 9/11.

Story Continues Below

Here's what the Massachusetts Democrat said July 8 when Larry King asked where he was on 9/11, according to CNN's own transcript:

'Nobody Could Think'

"I was in the Capitol. We'd just had a meeting - we'd just come into a leadership meeting in Tom Daschle's office, looking out at the Capitol. And as I came in, Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid were standing there, and we watched the second plane come in to the building. And we shortly thereafter sat down at the table and then we just realized nobody could think, and then boom, right behind us, we saw the cloud of explosion at the Pentagon. And then word came from the White House, they were evacuating, and we were to evacuate, and so we immediately began the evacuation."

How appropriate that Kerry lumps himself in with fellow left-wing non-thinkers such as Boxer, Daschle and Reid.

Thanks to the several readers today who sent us this fascinating bit from Blog for Bush: "the second plane hit the World Trade Center at 9:03 a.m., and the plane hit the Pentagon at 9:43 a.m. By Kerry's own words, he and his fellow senators sat there for forty minutes, realizing 'nobody could think.'"

And here's what former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani told the New York Post about Kerry's latest display of insolence:

"John Kerry must be frustrated in his campaign if he is armchair-quarterbacking based on cues from Michael Moore.

"John Kerry is an indecisive candidate [with] an inconsistent position on the War on Terror, who voted against funding for our troops and who cannot give a clear answer on his position concerning the decision to remove Saddam Hussein."

9/11 School Principal Praises Bush Reaction to Attacks

Taking his cue from conspiracy filmmaker Michael Moore, John Kerry attacked President Bush this week for not reacting quickly enough when he got word of the 9/11 attacks during a visit to Sarasota, Florida's Emma E. Booker elementary school.

Booker school principal Gwendolyn Tose-Rigell says, however, that Bush did just the right thing by staying put and continuing to read to her children. And she says the president's performance that day made her want to vote for him, even though she's a Democrat.

Story Continues Below

"I don't think anyone could have handled it better," Tose-Rigell recently told the Sarasota Herald Tribune. "What would it have served if he had jumped out of his chair and ran out of the room?"
She recalled the scene at 9:05 a.m. on Sept. 11, two minutes after the second plane hit Tower 2, when White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card squeezed past her to alert the president.

The Booker school principal didn't hear what Card said, but told the Tribune, "I knew it was something serious. The president bit his lip and clenched his jaw. I didn't know what happened, whether it was something with his wife or children or something with the nation."

"I remember praying that God would watch over our school and protect our children," she added.

Tose-Rigell didn't vote for Bush, but said that after watching the way he handled himself in her classroom while under incredible pressure, "That day I would have voted for him."

"I've heard people say, 'Why didn't you get the children out of there? Where were they supposed to go? Many of their parents weren't home. Some didn't have rides. It would have created chaos."

Principal Tose-Rigell concluded, "There is nothing anyone can tell me to change my perspective, because I was there."

Kerry would have a lot better chance at winning this thing if he would just keep his mouth shut.

it happened 3 years ago. what do you want, a minute by minute account of what he did for 40 minutes? he is at a meeting with his fellow people. what would you like him to do, declare nuclear war or something?! i mean he says who he is with at the time, im sure it is safe for anyone with somewhat of a brain to assume they are talking amoungst themselves about what happened.

the dumbass who wrote the artice makes it sound like they just stood there for 40 minutes with nothing on their mind. the article only goes to show, it's very easy to twist someone's words.

anything short of "he read my pet goat" and patriot is not impressed.

Typical Repub response - "What was he supposed to do, run shrieking from the room and alarm the country or sit there and listen to kids reading for the next 7 minutes?" as if there are no other alternatives.

How about he gets up, thanks the kids and teachers for the opportunity to see them read and politely excuse himself saying he has to tend to some business?

To be honest, it wouldn't have made a difference either way, but the right wing argument on what he should have done does just not pass the common sense test.

Bush looked like he had a load of crap in his britches sitting there reading while the country was under attack. Disgrace for
president to act in such a fashion. Weekend warrior training back in the Texas guard.

Jesus Christ don't you fxckin idiots understand that there are things already in motion for such events?? what the fxck was he supposed to do put on a fireman suit? Do you think nothing was going on at all while he continued to read to the kids. Its the stupidest issue I have found yet.
The people who get paid to watch for such shit didn't even know what was going on.
He left when Andy Card said it weas all set to go....The only people this issue connects with is mindless left wingers who don't or wouldn't know anything about procedure.
