Nothing has been confirmed but it looks like goalie Carey Price will miss tonight's game with New York because of a leg injury. If he can't go...then either backup Peter Budaj or Dustin Tokarski, call up from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs will get the start.

If Price does not play...I wouldn't touch this game.

Sidenote: Rangers Chris Kreider is in for a rough game tonight. Watch for Haps to run him early and often.

that was a cheap play by him going into Price in Game1. We will see what happens. Lundquist better watch out as well.

Thanks Brian, Slap. Hadn't heard Price was ruled out.

Men, I'm thinking Montreal may start Tokarski in goal...doesn't seem to be a lot of confidence in Budaj.

Montreal was out skated by a faster Ranger team Saturday...let's see if that changes tonight.

I think Mtl was still on cloud 9 after a long series and a huge win over a hated rival i expect a different team. Outskated yes but what bothered me more was the sloppy play in their own zone and in the neutral zone way too many turnovers by the habs PK especially. I think Mtl comes out flying tonight I'm taking a look at the 1st period over and over for the game. If this game gets lopsided one way or another then i expect to see the canadiens go after henrik and/or Kreider i could be wrong but there is way too much on the line to go after players early and put your team down a man or depending on how the refs want to control the game get a 5 min major

A cheap shot? Disagree 150% not kreiders style. Moreover u dont know about kreiders speed. he blew a tire seconds before contact. Watch the left skate. It's obvious. He lost control. U really think he would do something drastic being up 2-0 out playing the habs at that point. No way. With that speed very close to price, basically on a 1 on 1 situation you don't think about taking him out on purpose. Not even on his mind. Comical to hear people say it was dirty and on purpose.

Many people at the office said the exact same thing as I said while we watched the game. These players seem to have no regard for the goalies safety nowadays. There go full speed at the goalie and its a miracle that goalies don't get hurt more often. Also, unless you know him personally or read his diary that night, you have no clue as to what was on his mind as you claim. Comical to hear people say they know what someone was thinking. He should have got a penalty for Goalie interference IMO because anyone going straight into the goalie at that speed is only asking for trouble and the final outcome can only end up badly for the goalie more times than not. The NHL should have considered suspending him.

sorry scott....i disagree with you. Kreider is on a breakaway with D chasing him. what is he supposed to do...slow down? Also the D's stick was right into his feet and he went off balance. after the game all the Habs players were saying it was an accident, how it's reckless? there was no penalty called either on Kreider or for the D for tripping, etc....

accident and injuries happening. for a Habs player to go after Kreider or Lundquist would then be cheap at this point

Well when u play the sport all your life. U are in similar situations. So yeah,...100% he's not thinking of taking him out on basically a breakaway 1 on 1 situation, UP 2-0, Abusing the habs at that point. Yawn.

to me and others, it appears he went right towards Price with no intention to stop. Best care scenario he scores and worst case he fucks up their best player. The video makes a good case for what I am saying.

??? He lost balance as soon as he shot the ppuck not even seconds before collision. All Therrien is doing is causing a case for a rally cry cause after that game he knew he's outmatched regardless who's in net. Scotty brotha. Not a shit talker by any means. Just saying it was a cheap shot ruffled my feathers. Lots of hockey left anyways. Best of luck cuz! Coming from an obvious Rangers fan hahaha.

After Montreal's morning skate Monday in Brossard, Quebec, Canadiens coach Michel Therrien said Price would not play again in the series, and he called the play by Kreider "reckless."

The Canadiens have pointed out that Kreider has a history of barreling into goalies. He injured Ottawa Senators goalie Craig Anderson last season after he got tripped by Marc Methot and crashed into Anderson.

"reckless." okay ... that is the perfect word describing his action.

It will be interesting how reckless a Hab or two will be when going towards the Rangers goal tonight.

and sorry...this is sour grapes because you guys beat us.....I have 5 friends on facebook that have been really whining all day about this and everyone is going after them. in all honestly it appears only MTL fans seem to think this was dirty..

I have my play on MTL for this series so I am rooting for them and I dont want to pretend what I would be feeling if Tukka got taken out or if I am a Rangers fan and Lundquist is out for the series as you want to have your best players available to you

hmmmmm hard to say 2 d men hacking at him but that didn't seem to affect him it was only after he took the shot he lost his balance. I will admit trying to avoid a goalie at full sppe like that is hard to do but that i didn't like is him diving skates first into Prices pads

not all that is for sure. Maybe Rangers fans only appear to not call it as it actually is.

I never said it was dirty but "reckless" fits perfectly. He's done it before. He probably will do it again. Some players just seem to find trouble like Matt Cooke does. While other players can play their entire careers without incidents like this.

Let's seee now .... That's 2 starting goalies for Kreider in 2 seasons when he has injured starting goalies. Hmmmm. Still in denial guys on are you starting to see a pattern? So if it happens again next season again and he takes out Raask or some other starter, what will you say then? Coincidence still?

Montreal forward Brandon Prust specifically pointed out the play in Game 6 of the second-round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins, when Kreider had a goal taken away for a goalie interference penalty on Marc-Andre Fleury.
