Don Cherry now there's a character, man those outfits he wears are classic

. The signing of Mogilny and Nieuwendyk i like as for the others not impressed. I respect you for saying this:

"Gretzky's blatant high stick on Dougie G that cost the Leafs a chance to beat the evil empire in the Cup finals? Most leaf fans i know say this" that cost the leafs the stanley cup." Im sure this fans knew the leafs would take out Montreal in the finals, although that would have been one hell of a series. It would silence all the leafs/habs critics

Take care and best of luck to the leafs this year i don't follow hockey not till nfl and nba is over.

Just the fact that Claude the fat fraud lives in Montreal make Toronto the winner in any comparison.

man, i can't stop laughing reading all this. I really enjoyed reading all this. This is great because it shows the world who live outside Canada just how right I was, that Montrealers really hate Torontonians, and vice versa.. All you have to do is just look at how mad the Toronto people sound and how they put down Montreal, and vice versa. This is one heated rivalry boys. We really do hate each other. This is the worst hatred for 2 cities in North America folks.

Well, at least no one has disagreed with me about Montreal having the best broads..I was shocked to see how many posters that know Montreal well here.

Bases,

Hey buddy, yes, Montreal has terrible drivers, I must admit.

Logan,

It's really great to hear someone talking about Montreal and being so knowledgeable about the city. You are right about the dump between Atwater and Peel..

But everywhere else, besides the East end around the Big O, it is clean. And that was funny what you said about the offramp exits on the first lane..

Hey Mr Ontario,

More bums that sleep on the sidewalks.. TOR
More congested traffic- TOR
Cheaper houses- MTL

We have the world famous Jazz Festival, The Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. The Canadian Grand Prix.. I'll agree with you though on you guys have fewer French Canadians.. You win there.

Folks, read this, and if you don't believe me that we hate each other, just read what Angus Ontario says here about Montreal..
1036316054.gif
Man, do we hate each other..

There you have it guys. If you want a city that smells like stale cigarettes and cheap stripper perfume, where fine cuisine is french fries with gravy and cheese or day old donuts, and where the boozy, puffy-eyed, tarted-up women on Crescent street are considered "classy", then go to Montreal. If you're a little more corporate, like Angus Ontario, then stick with Toronto.

___________

Jesus,

My father always taught me to never doubt Jesus. And I won't start today. Folks, here is a guy from Toronto, who agrees with me that Montreal is better.
1036316054.gif
Thank you Jesus, for that I promise to go to church sometime soon.. And by the way Jesus, do you really believe that had the Leafs gotten by the Kings, you would have actually beaten us in the finals.?
icon_biggrin.gif
NO WAY jesus.. That was our year. Didn't we win like 10 games in OT that year? NO team would have beaten us kiddo. Plus, we Montrealers wanted you maple laughs, sorry, I mean Maple Leafs so badly, but once again, you boys choked..
icon_razz.gif
Toronto will NEVER win a Stanley Cup again. Can you say.. 1967..
icon_biggrin.gif
Just like my buddy Barry Bonds will NEVER win a world series, The Maple Laughs, sorry, I mean maple leafs will NEVER win a Stanley Cup, well, not for at least 50 years.

sds,

I loved your post man. I love to see a fellow Torontonian going nuts like that when I mention Montreal..
icon_biggrin.gif
Great post.
1036316054.gif

Boys, please, DO NOT compare MTL to TOR.

Montreal is the City Of Champions. Toronto is the city of losers. Hey Torontonians, enjoy watching the Montreal Alouettes in the Grey Cup next week on tv..
icon_wink.gif
It was great beating you guys again today.

Hey Toronto, this is for you.. Does this look familiar? I don't know because I don't know if any of you Torontonians have ever seen one. I know I have..
icon_razz.gif
.. I've seen it here many times, and it will be another 50 plus years before any of you ever see it. I even hoisted it at the Stanley Cup parade back in 86..

24 Stanley Cups, my ass.

You can't count any before the 1980's because Montreal got automatic rights to the top two Quebec players every year... and you sure as hell can't count any during war years when English-Canadians were fighting for our freedom while the peppers were home playing for themselves.

I'm sick and tired of the Maurice Richard love-in. F*ck Maurice Richard! He got the 50 goals in 50 games in 1944-45 when the good English boys (including my grandfather's bro) were dying in Europe while he was cherry-picking for glory.

The fact that the goal-scoring champ every year wins the Maurice Richard trophy is a disgrace. It should be named after Bobby Hull. He won 7 goal scoring titles to
the Rocket's 5 and 2 Art Ross trophies to the Rocket's zero (did the guy ever
pass the puck???!!!!!!!!). They only named it after him out of pity when he was dying, and to kowtow to the French as this country does way too often.

So the Habs have won 2 cups... one thanks to Steve Smith and the other thanks to Molson Breweries or whoever paid the refs in '93 when they won the 11 overtime games and had 7 men on the ice for half the series aginst the Islanders. They would have been down 2-0 going back to LA but in typical Montreal pussy fashion, have McSorely's illegal stick checked and tie on the powerplay and win in OT.

The only good thing about Montreal is hot Anglophone freshmen at McGill.

LMAO!!!!!

It doesn't hurt when Montreal trades a bunch of stiffs to LA to get the draft pick which turns out to be the Flower. Now that's wheeling and dealing!

Angus, I agree Loaf fans are loyal but the problem with the frigging ACC is that all the fans at the game are the suits sucking back chardonnays with their sushi. I got a free ticket to see the Pens-Leafs last week with a buddy of mine and they were a mere $197 for golds. What average hockey fan can now afford to take his/her family to see a game? I was thinking 4 tickets, parking and food is a bloody mortgage payment for me! Unfortunately average fans have to watch the game at the Sports Cafe on St Clair (or at home) and not live. At least the Bell Centre in Montreal is more affordable.

That fvcking high stick by Gretzky cost the Leafs their best shot at the Cup in 36 years.
icon_mad.gif
Even if Toronto had beat Carolina a couple of years ago, Detroit probably would have beat them but Leafs-Habs 93? That would have been WW III! Like Canada-USSR 72, it would have been a rare household not tuned to that series. A real tragedy for us.

LOL I have to take serious umbrage here!
icon_biggrin.gif

I went to McGill and they had the usual anglo hotties (with Concordia) but Dawson College (fashion design ha ha ha - I lived right by it), Uiversity of Montreal and HEC had some serious babe-a-licious sights. I would have to rank Laval in QC up there too.

One more notch for Montreal: women are a LOT more approachable than here in Toronto where if you talk to them at a bar, the first thing on their minds is castration.

Yeah, Belgium tried that shit, too. Banned cig ads on F1 cars. They lost the GP for one year. Then they turned around and amended the law. It's funny because they pull a major revenue source away and expect F1 to scurry around and find replacement sponsors, then they wimp out and back down.
I imagine Canada will amend it too. They called the F1 bluff and lost.

City of champions...i don't know..what I can really witness is that Montreal has among the most beatiful women on earth...If you have been there you'll know what I'm talking about, a summer afternoon rollerblading at Park Lafontaine, party at Crescent, or just a walk along the docks at "le vieux Montreal" can be a pleasure for the eyes!!
