how many outs were there?. Expos are a great team considering they are on a budget of bread crumbs.

The squeeze was on, and Carroll couldn't put the bat down properly and fouled it off. Why the hell is he squeezing for with 2 strikes and only 1 out. Terrible call by Frankie Robinson.

i live in the province of quebec for the biggest part of my life, but i'm not of french origine. i consider myself being italian, canadian, and quebecer, all at the same time.

your view of quebecers are true, but you should ask yourself why is it like that. trust me, there are a lot of reasons why these people want to be the way they are.

i like canada, but i think i love quebec more. i voted for quebec's independence in '95 and i will do it again if needed.

the <yes> lost in '95, and it is OK with me. we live in a democracy, and I respect the decision of the majority. i do not hate USA, English speaking Canada, or England, but I do not like seeing the Queen of England on our canadian dollars, and so on.

if you ever come to Montréal, Québec City or anywhere else in Québec, I'm sure you will love it here. All F1 drivers love it here, too bad we just lost the Grand Prix of Montreal yesterday.

Bienvenu à Québec buddy.

I've been to Montreal and I'm from the west, in the west we go out of our way to honor the French Canadian culture in many different ways where as when I visited Montreal I was treated like shit because I did not speak the Language, I also lived in Winnipeg for many years which has arguably the largest French Canadian outside of Quebec but guess what, they want to be part of Canada and are not as rude and unaccommodating as their Quebec counter parts. Do Quebecers really believe they could survive economically with out the mother country? I think it is a pipe dream that would lead to a huge poverty stricken Province / Country of Quebec.

Speaking of western canada...

I've been visiting Vancouver B.C. in 1999 and while ordering a meal in a down town restaurant, i was talking in french with a friend of mine. The waitress politely asked us what was the language we were talking. Don't you find that a little bit weird, since the French is an official language in Canada, just like the English.

Let's now move to Ontario, or precisely, to our Nation's capital Ottawa. I noticed that not a whole lot of people speak or at least understand French, except for the Québec's suburbs of Hull and Gatineau.

That's our national's capital for God's sake. I can understand that kids in B.C. learn Chineese in elementary school, instead of the second official language which is by the way the french, but what about Ottawa ?

As for the English language in Montreal, your theory is not true. English is equally represented and used in Montreal. You also have an English speaking University there, and so on.

Finally, I don't believe our economy would suffer if we get our independence. Our ressources are too big for something like that to happen. All atlantic provinces live thanks to Quebec. It is hard to accept, but it is true. The only provinces that would suffer due to a possible independence of Quebec are New Foundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and IPE.
