All 4 of the games I have written up so far have WON. Overall with halftimes and second half plays, I am 9-3 in my last 12 picks. I will not have time to write up tomorrow as superhunk will be out with the ladies. so here is my early writeups and analysis...
GSW @ ORLANDO:
Golden State is playing their 4th road game, winning their last game due to crawford having a break out game. The Warriors will likely be without one of their top scorers in stephen jackson but he did struggle in their first matchup in oakland. Biedrins did not struggle as he scored 23 points and had 9 rebounds but that was with a Howardless Magic team. GSW last 5 road losses were by an average of 19 points!!!!
Orlando is coming off back to back home wins versus the upper echelon of the western conference in the lakers and spurs. Now they face a warriors team that has given up an average of 120 points on the road in their last 11 road games!!!! In Oakland, the warriors were not even able to cross the century mark, and now without jackson and with Howard guarding the middle, I see Biedrins struggling, and holding the warriors to under 95 points.
SUPERHUNK PICK: ORLANDO -12
PORTLAND @ DENVER:
Portland is coming off one of their biggest wins of the season as they come back to beat a very good Suns team with Roy scoring over 50 points. Portland will have had 4 days off before traveling to the thin air of Denver. Portland is back on the road with their 8-8 record, but will run into a cold Denver team that has lost their last 3 games.
Denver's Carmelo is coming off a terrible game and this team is pressing a lot. Taking really bad shots and almost forcing things. I still see this team struggling offensively and see Portland also struggling to score on the road in Denver. Both teams should score in the 90s.
SUPERHUNK PLAY: UNDER 202
TORONTO @ LA CLIPPERS:
Toronto has now lost 5 in a row and has been shooting the ball horrendously. They have yet to break the century mark in those last 5 games. They have also given up over 90 points in each of those 5 games.
The Clippers have alternated wins and losses on their 4 game road trip and now return home. Zach randolph was due for a bad game and just laid an egg in Milwaukee. They only shot 35% from the field and allowed 52% shooting allowing 119 points. All the starters played limited minutes due to the fact that they were getting blown out early. So they should be well rested for this game.
The fact that Toronto will be playing against the Clippers lack of defense, and the fact that the Clippers will put together a much better offensive performance in front of their home fans, I see this game reaching the total easily. Both teams will score in the high 90s and one team could break the century mark.
SUPERHUNK PLAY: OVER 192
