Sup fellas. Thanks to the late game Sunday, was able to show a profit for the first week of baseball...
Went 6-5 and won 974.67 yesterday... finished the week at 18-21-1 and up 175.67... also my figures for the year.
Lots of games today and I'll be stalking the UMPS later with Sy. Tonight we have VanOVER and Emmel. Vanover is just waiting for an UNDER, he had six in a row at the end of last year before going over in his last game and his first five or so of 2006. If he gets involved in a pitcher-friendly game tonight I'll wait for them to bet OVER after he gets announced and then come in on the other side.
Liked the Nationals at that price tonight, as who is Zambrano to be favored that over anyone the way he's been pitching as of late. But... I can't bet because Zimmerman is out and Church has the flu.
Pittsburgh lost six in a row on their last road trip and after winning 2 of 3 from Philly at home, returns to the road tonight to face the floundering Flubs, outscored 25-2 by Milwaukee Saturday and Sunday. Though he's just 3-4 in his career versus the Cubs, Santos has allowed three runs or less in seven of his eight starts against them. For Marshall, his first major league road outing was April 14 at Pittsburgh. He allowed four runs and five hits in five innings, walking one and striking out two to earn his first win (11-6). The price tonight, however, appears to be a little ridiculous.
The play: Pittsburgh +145 at Jazz... 200 to win 290.
Written by our own TimH this morning: 'Texas offense has really hit their stride over the L10 games as they are scoring 6.4 rpg and hitting over .300. McDung has a terrible 2.23 whip in his L3 starts and constantly works with a ton of runners on base. Loe has been inconistent for the Rangers this season and both bullpens are an adventure waiting to happen.'
McDung (1-3, 9.27 ERA) tied a season high by issuing seven of Tampa Bay's single-game record 14 walks in just five innings during a 4-2, 10-inning win at New York on Wednesday.
McDung's .340 opponent batting average is the highest by any major league pitcher who has tossed at least 15 innings. He is 2-1 with a 9.58 ERA in five career appearances, including four starts, against the Rangers.
Kammeron Loe (0-2, 5.20) will face the Devil Rays for the second time this season. He opposed McClung 10 days ago in his first career start versus Tampa Bay, and lasted just three innings while giving up six runs and seven hits.
Loe faced Oakland on Wednesday and threw a season-high 106 pitches. All those pitches thrown and these anemic ERA's by each pitcher spells runs, runs, runs... I'm not even gonna wait for the umpire on this one...
The play: OVER 10.5 -108 - 324 to win 300
