As usual, Monday has almost no action. How bad is the scheduling in the NHL? These idiots can't do anything right. I'm half expecting to see 7 games on Tues/Thurs and 1 on Mon/Weds when the playoffs start up.

But the point is... I think all three games can go to OT tonight.

Carolina/Florida +300
Calgary/Detroit +300
NJD/Philly +300

Because these games contain several explosive offensive teams, I doubt I'll up my bet from 1/5 unit. Only gotta hit one...

The schedule over the last month has been a joke. Not only you have days with 3 or less games but the following day you get 7-10 games all at the same time.

I can understand this quirk happening a couple of times due to arena obligations, travel considerations, etc. but it seems like the NHL chooses to have this system.

I love hockey but this league fails miserably to market themselves or serve it's fans on so many levels.

GL tonight

They should consider paying ESPN to take them back.

As odd as this sounds I have to admit that Versus has really picked up their game over the last 3 years. The quality of their broadcasts, panelists, camera work is like night and day when I think where it was in the beginning. Very similar to what ESPN was like in it's infancy, (really dating myself here).

Now they just have to find a way to be carried over the entire country.

Yah, I'm not as much concerned about the coverage as the fact that the station isn't well-known, or carried over the entire nation. I mean, personally, I can't stand ESPN. But the fact is that they have a huge audience, and having the NHL back might push it up a bit on the Sportscenter rotation.

the amount of attention they get on Sportscenter really is embarrassing. I still can't understand why hockey gets so little love in the states. The spelling bee final gets higher ratings here.

Greatest sport on earth IMO....go figure

Nothing will beat cutting away from Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals (in OT) to go to Horse Racing. This one is actually the NHL's fault more than NBC, since NBC had it in their contract. Too funny... Alfie scores the OT winner 10-15 minutes later.
