ESPN will not be showing any hockey games throughout the playoffs, or anytime in the near future for that matter. Before the season they disowned the NHL turning down the league and not signing any contract. At this time there is no plan for ESPN to ever air a NHL game ever again!! Suprised they show highlights to be honest.

The NHL has such a specialized fan base who carries them on TV means nothing anyways. I think it won't be that many years off anyways where lots of sports are pay per view with the broadcast sent over the net to your TV.

The NFL is dying to go PPV....no way I'd pay to watch that crap (but I'd pay damn good $$$ to see 90% of the NCAAF games on the board).

Well they hopefully won't charge PPV fees along the order of PPV we pay now. Maybe $1.99 for the game of our choice with one or two freebies offered every week.
