I've got to go with CLASSIC STANCE. Looks strong for the conditions of this race today, showing solid numbers in dirt route races lately. Some competitive figs have been posted by this trainer's horses running at this distance and surface. Will most likely be one of the leaders of the pack going into the midpoint of the contest. MOONLIGHT RAID - Has performed solidly lately in route races, posting a nifty 77 avg Equibase speed fig. The Equibase speed fig of 61 from his last race looks quite good in here. ALTERNATE PLAN - Had one of the strongest Equibase Speed Figs of this group in his last race. Mosco has a very strong win percentage with horses running in dirt route races.

MISS SWEETNESS - There's only one horse who has won on this turf course, and this is the one. This filly seems to like to win at nice odds. This filly earned a strong speed rating of 85 in her last race. That rating should be good enough to prove victorious in today's event. SAWYER - This filly likes to be near the lead. Today's event is a shorter trip and should increase her chances. I like the fact that this filly's last speed figure, 85, is tops in this field. Horses out of the barn of Cibelli have been solid on the grass. Should do well. TROUBLE IN LOVE - Lower weight carried of -6. In my opinion, a movement of five is important, so this mare falls into this category. SWISS ARMY WIFE - This first time turf runner is going to give these thoroughbreds a run for their money. She came in fifth in her try on a sluggish track on Jun 24th. Should like the turf. I cannot ignore the fact that this filly is working extremely well.

LADY DORIS - This young horse isn't going to beat the elders today, maybe another time. Would have to move up off that eighth place finish last time out to make an impact here.
