I had the Colorado Rockies winning on Sunday for a 200 Dimer, and tonight they're my free pick as an underdog in St. Louis, where the Cardinals will be shocked to see how good this team is playing.

The Rockies, who have won 11 of 13, won 3-2 yesterday for their fourth straight victory, and tonight they're going to bank on Tyler Anderson to get it done over Carlos Martinez.

Anderson has dominated the month of July and steps to the mound at Busch Stadium after throwing 7 1/3 innings on Tuesday, when he allowed two runs on three hits to the Houston Astros, who won, 8-2, in extra innings. That was a crazy game that got out of hand in one inning. But Anderson is 4-0 (3.48 ERA) on the road this season, so he'll be in his comfort zone.

The Rockies, now 57-47 and one game back of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West, are 30-23 on the road this season. They've won seven of their last 10 on the highway.

The right-hander needs to end his second cold streak since returning from the disabled list. Martinez has given up nine runs (eight earned) on 13 hits his past couple starts, and it's evident the Cardinals need more than five innings out of their ace to avoid overtaxing the bullpen. I don't know if that happens against the hard-hitting Rox.

Take Colorado tonight, as they open this road trip with a dub.

My Bonus Play is on the Seattle Mariners over the struggling Houston Astros, and in this one I'm listing the scheduled starters: Gerrit Cole and James Paxton.

I'll make this brief, as it's really only about the pitchers.

I've lost a bit of confidence in Cole's domination. He is still capable of being dominant, sure, but he's shown kinks in the armor, and I don't know if he will be able to keep the ball in the park against the M's at Safeco Field. Seattle has one of the better lineups in baseball, with a batting average of .257, which ranks sixth in the league. The M's will come to hit tonight, as they continue to chase these Astros in the American League West.

I'd rather side with Paxton, as the big lefty is expected to be brought off the 10-day disabled list after throwing just two-thirds of an inning over the past three weeks due to a stiff lower back. His confidence level will be on high, though, as he’s 2-0 with a 1.32 ERA in two starts against Houston this season. I like him in this spot tonight, against an Astros team that has lost four straight.

Take Seattle and list both.

Monday comp play is Over in Texas-Arizona.

The Rangers have been involved in some offensive affairs here in the month of July, as 3 of their last 4 games, and 8 of their last 11 games overall have landed Over the total.

Same can be said for the Diamondbacks who come back home having scored 26 runs over their last 4 games, all 4 of those games making their way Over the posted price!

Martin Perez will go for Texas, while Robbie Ray goes for Arizona.

Perez has worked 40-plus innings this season with an ERA over 7. The Over is 4-2-2 when he makes the start.

Ray has worked 60-plus innings with an ERA approaching 5.

Look for the bats to keep connecting.

Rangers-Diamondbacks Over the total.

My Bonus Play is on the Arizona Diamondbacks over the Texas Rangers, and I want you playing the game on the Run Line.

MAKE NOTE: All Run Line/Total plays automatically list pitchers with the starters who are scheduled to go at the time of the wager. But with this game I am not concerned with who goes for either team tonight and want you playing this game on the Run Line regardless. That being said, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to be sure you have action even if one of the pitchers scheduled to start is scratched, by re-wagering the game if that takes place.

Arizona is just one-half game back of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West, and needs to keep the pressure on. The Snakes would make the postseason if the playoffs started today, as the No. 2 wild-card team, but they want this division.

They return home after three straight wins in San Diego, and will pick up where they left off against a Texas team that has also won three straight, but is having a down year.

The Snakes are 27-25 at home, and will need to bulk up that home record as the postseason draws closer, so they can build some momentum.

Take the home team.

MLB | Rangers vs Diamondbacks
Play on: Diamondbacks -1½ +105 at 5Dimes

Jack’s Free Pick Monday: Arizona Diamondbacks -1.5 (+105)

The Arizona Diamondbacks have won three straight and six of their last eight coming in. They have won five times by four runs or more during this stretch. I expect them to win by at least two runs at home tonight over the Texas Rangers.

The Rangers are in a letdown spot here after a shocking sweep of the Astros in Houston over the weekend. Now they send perhaps the worst starter in baseball to the mound in Martin Perez, who is 2-4 with a 7.08 ERA and 2.017 WHIP in eight starts this season.

Robbie Ray hasn’t matched the dominant numbers he put up a year ago, but he has also been hurt. He has posted 81 K’s in 60 2/3 innings across 12 starts this season, so the stuff is still there. And he’s coming off a great start in which he held the Cubs to just one run and five base runners in 7 innings on the road last time out.

Ray is 14-1 (+13.5 units) against the money line after giving up one or fewer earned runs in his last outing over the last two seasons. Arizona is winning by 5.2 runs per game in this spot. The Diamondbacks are 20-6 in Ray’s last 26 starts vs. a team with a losing record. The Rangers are 0-4 in Perez’s last four starts. Bet the Diamondbacks on the Run Line Monday.

MLB | Indians vs Twins
Play on: Twins +115 at MyBookie

The Minnesota Twins enter tonight's game with an upper hand on the Indians. Minnesota is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games when playing at home vs Cleveland and 7-1 ATS overall against the Indians. With the Twins playing at home, Santana will look to make a lasting impression as it might be his last start with the Twins before the trade deadline. Expect the Twins to give the Indians a run for their money and pick up a big win vs the Indians.

MLB | TEX vs ARI
Play on: UNDER 8½ +110

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach MLB Game #918 Monday Free Pick UNDER the total in Arizona Diamondbacks vs Texas Rangers @ 9:40 ET - The Rangers Martin Perez has poor full season numbers but he has been rock solid in 2 of his 3 starts since he returned. In those two solid July outings Perez has allowed only 2 earned runs in 13 innings. Also, the Diamondbacks are not familar with him. This is typical in interleague match-ups and tends to lead to more unders as the hitters lack of familiarity with pitchers from the opposite league tends to be an issue. Arizona has not faced Perez in many years and the same holds true for the Texas bats having not seen Robbie Ray in a number of years. Although Ray's numbers at home this season have been unusually poor, he enters this start having pitched well in two of his last three match-ups. Also, those were against tough teams in tough venues - Cubs in Wrigley and Rockies at Coors. Ray has struck out 81 in his 60 and 2/3 innings as a starter this season. The Rangers lineup is known for poor at-bats and being free swingers and I expect the strikeouts to really pile up in this one for Ray. Per the above, you can see why I am expecting both teams to struggle at the plate. Also, only 2 of the Diamondbacks 8 games in interleague action this season have resulted in an over. The under is 16-9 in Texas' games with a posted total of 8 or 8.5 runs this season. Free Pick UNDER the total in Arizona

1 Unit Bonus Play on Atlanta Braves -159

The Atlanta Braves have lost four of their last five and need this home series against the Marlins to get back on track after falling out of first place in the NL East. Fortunately for them, they are up against Wei-Yin Chen, who has been terrible on the road this season. Chen is 1-5 with a 10.47 ERA and 2.02 WHIP in eight road starts this year. He has allowed 38 earned runs in 32 2/3 innings away from home. Julio Teheran is the better starter in this matchup. He is 3-2 with a 4.13 ERA in 10 home starts this year. The Marlins are 2-7 in Chen’s last nine road starts. The Braves are 8-3 in Teheran’s last 11 home starts. Give me the Braves.
