Waiting for some books to open lines for College Football, but if can get Okla At -28 or better, take it.6-1 so far posting here 2-1 this weekend.

Tampa Bay on Money line plus 128 at Pinnacle.

When you talk about the Bucs you have to talk Defense. No reason to think the D. that was the best in NFL last year (196 points allowed) will tail off this year. MLB Quarles out, but 4th year back-up Nate Webster capable, in fact has his one NFL start vs. Eagles. Expect usual big games from Brooks, Rice, Sapp et al. On offense Brad Johnson needs to continue to play a low tournover controlled passing game. RB Pittman a ? with off season problems, but newly acquired Thomas Jones fills in fine. The same big 3 recievers are back. The wild card here is Mike Alstott, he gives the Bucs Offense that something extra a lot of teams do not have. On the other side of the ball the Eagles return with Donavan McNabb, and a late to camp Deuce Staley, they will challange Bucs D. but pressure on McNabb has been known to cause tournovers. On defense the Eagles are sure to miss Hugh Douglas, his loss takes the Philly defense down a notch. Bottom line look for Bucs PK Gramatica to be the difference in an outright Bucs win. IMHO.

Injury report shows 3 Philly DE listed as out, 1 DL listed out. Gotta hurt their defense.

Normally I like to against the Super Bowl Champs early in the season because I feel that the lines are inflated but not in this case. I think Phil is a strong team. They have one of the best OL in the league. Last year they didn't miss a beat when McNabb was hurt and may have actually played better going 5-1 w/o him. The have decent recs in Thrash, Pinkston and Mitchell and RB's in Staley and Buckhalter. The DB's are very strong but I think there's a dropoff on the DL and LB this year. Hugh Douglas and his 12.5 sacks left and they are weak at MLB. Emmons is also banged up with an ankle sprain.
TB had the #1 ranked defense in 2002 and everyone except Dexter Jackson returns. On offense I think that TB will be better this year now that Gruden and Johnson are in their second year together. The WR's are strong in Johnson, McCardell, and Jurevicius. This is basically the same team that won last year except that the offense looks better.

Guys,

We are all even action on these primetime games so far. Everyone's teasers won last night so that gives me a strange feeling about this game. I am going to watch and let it unfold. I am taking Tampa +.5 in the first half and I also took the over at 35.5 earlier at Skybook with the free 1/2 point. We shall see.
