rugby,
A home divisonal dog on Monday night in an absolute must win situation playing a team that ranks 27th against the run...too good to be true!

Also, the Chiefs haven't beaten Oak in Oak since 99 and Oak has won 8 straight at home. This is the first time they've been dogs @ home since 98.

Bottom line is tonight the Raiders will play a sound game, run Garner to set up the play action and will make fewer mistakes with penalities and turnovers. I think they win the game so getting 5 is a gift!

good luck.

I THINK YOU GUYS HAVE HIT THE SAUCE WAY TO MUCH, KC IS SUPERBOWL BOUND WITH WAY TO MANY WEAPONS AND WITH THE REVENGE FACTOR FROM LAST YEAR I LOOK FOR A SOLID ASS KICKN. I WAS AT THE GREEN BAY GAME, WHAT A MACHINE, OF COURSE CONSIDERING ALL THE BACK DOOR BULLSHIT LATELY MAYBE I NEED TO STOP DRINKING. YES PORTER IS A ASSET BUT THE RAIDERS HAVE NOT IMPRESSED ME TO MUCH. WHAT THE HELL DO I KNOW. KEEP BOOZN

I agree on both sides...

Based on how these teams (this year's teams) match up I am taking KC

but I could never have said that KC would be this far in without a loss - and Oakland would be my first choice for the first one to knock them off... They are flying low (very low) and you gotta think that they have the talent to step it up one of these games...

but I'm going with the status quo

This is one of those games that on paper looks like an easy choice. Just like Tampa, Cle, MIa and Balt did yesterday.

As I sad, I feel the situation sets up for Oak. They have to establish the run and that is KC's weakness. Also, they have to win the turnover battle and not commit as many penalities as they tend to do. They also have to stop Holmes and that is no easy task.

If they can be disciplined tonight- they win. If they don't, they lose and by a large margin. I'm betting that for tonight these guys will be ready to play.

A loss for KC doesn't hurt them. A loss for Oak and they are done. I will take the team that absolutely needs the win at home getting the points.

Should be an interesting night!

The problem with oakland establishing the run is that they don't try to establish the run. Their version of running is the short passing attack.

I can't imagine Porter is going to be very sharp if he plays at all, as his timing has gotta be off.

The Raiders have looked like a beaten team from the start this season, and so far they have shown me no sign of ending that run.

steeser,
You are right about their lack of run attack. Don't know why they don't go to Garner more often to set up the play action and their short drop pass attack. They have to tonight. Their year is on the line tonight.
