maybe last week motivated the steelers to better days ahead...... SF still looks bad...
This year the AFC dominates

San Fran is off a bye and is flat out a better team then the Steelers.

The niners are 4-1 at home this year with scores of:

49-7 Chicago
12-13 Cleveland
24-17 Detroit
24-7 Tampa Bay
30-10 St Louis

Note: They were up 12-0 against Cleveland until a 4th Q meltdown.

I know road teams are 8-2 on Mon night but it's hard to go against a good home team on Monday night.

STEELERS ARE IN THE EARLY STAGES OF RUNNING ABOUT 8 STARAIGHT OFF. IF THEY WIN HERE, THEIR TOUGHST OPPONENT LEFT, THEY WIL GO 10-6 ON THE YEAR. THEIR SCHEDULE IS RIDICUOUSLY EASY THE REST OF THE WAY. NOT TO MENTION THE MAJORITY OF IT IS AT HOME. THE RAIDERS, JETS, BROWNS, BENGALS, CHARGERS, RAVENS, AND THIS WEEK THE 49ERS. THEY KNOW THAY HAVE THE INSIDE TRACK ON THE DIVISION TITLE EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE TWO GAMES BACK OF THE RAVENS WHO MPLAY MIAMI AWAY AND KC AWAY IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS. NOT TO MENTION THEY HAVE ANTHONY WRIGHT AS THIER QB. CLEVELAND AND CINCI WILL FIND WAYS TO FALTER DOWN THE STRETCH NOT TO MENTION THEY BOTH PLAY KC STILL.

TWO WEEKS AGO I PUT 500 ON THE STEELERS TO WIN THEIR DIVISION AT 12-1 ODDS. I AM NOT WORRIED ABUT EHM DOING SO. IT MIGHT COME DOWN TO THE LAST GAME OF THE YEAR ON SUNDAY NIGHT VERSUS THE RAVENS, AND THE STEELERS HAVE ABSOLUTELY MURDERED THERAVENS OVER THE LAST THREE YEARS. INCLUDING THE FIRST GAME THIS YEAR. SOME TEAMS CANT BEAT OTHERS NO MATTER WHAT AND THIS IS THE CASE HERE. THE STEELERS NEVER LOSE TO THE BUCS TOO. THE STEELERS ARE 25-5 UNDER COWHER MONDAY NIGHTS, RATTAY WONT DO WHAT HE DID TWO WEEKS AGO, THE BYE WEEK ONLY WILL HURT THE 49ERS WHO WOULD HAVE GREAT MOMENTUM AFFTER THE RAMS ASS BEATING, STEELERS ARE ABOUT 750% AGAINST NFC TEAMS, STEELERS HAVE TOTALLY CHANGED THEIR DEFENSE WITHIN THE LAST TWO WEEKS, AND IT IS BACK TO FORM. THEIR DEFENSE GIVES NOTHING ON THE GROUND, AND WILL MAKE RATTAY BETA THEM. I DONT THINK THAT HE CAN DO THIS TWICE IN TWO WEEKS. BURRESS HAS BEEN GETTING KILLED BY THE MEDIA AROUND HERE FOR TWO WEEKS NOW AND LOOK FOR HIM TO SHOW UP ON PRIMETIME. STEELERS ARE GETTING BACK AN OFFENSIVE LINEMAN FROM 5 WEEKS AGO, SO THAT SHOULD BOLSTER THE PROTECTION FOR MADDUX. THIS IS THE ONLY REASON WHY THE OFFENSE ISNT WHERE IT HAS BEEN THE LAST TWO YEARS.

Where are divisonal title odds still available? I don't seee any at Pinnacle and Oly and they usually are my outs. I like your thinking on Steelers.

Tim Rattay is scheduled for his second start in a row and in the national spot light. If he comes out with a win and big numbers will he become the permanent starter?

BrokeN - I don't see how you could bench Garcia when he is healthy enough to play. He has been a good QB when healthy. But you never know when Erickson will decide when he is healthy.

Don't believe the smoke n mirrors job out there in San Francisco.

It was more a St.Louis letdown than it was a 49er domination. They haven't righted any ship out there by adding Rattay, their secondary is still allowing over 200 yards in the air a game and Pittsburgh's arsenal of receivers is a perfect match for Mike "Got Scored On" Rumph.

Pittsburgh in a no brainer. SF may win, but they won't cover the 4

Bookum,

So what is the record of home teams retiring a former players jersey on Monday Night Football for the last 20 years?

"It was more a St.Louis letdown than it was a 49er domination." I'd agree with this, to a certain extent, but the Niners defense is tough... don't know about taking the Steelers on the road, take a look at their record.
