I agree. Rapids were my preseason pick to be the surprise club of the '08 season, but I switched early on to RSL. Every team has 9 matches left on the year...RSL has to hold serve at home to ensure they make the playoffs, cause they still struggle on the road.

to provide a bit more info on the Colorado missings

Mastroeni - perhaps my favorite player. Dude is tough as hell, a bit dirty, and certainly the best holding midfielder in the MLS and in USA soccer (maybe one day Edu will challenge him). He's their captain and a real leader which is a massive loss considering they need some leadership

Cook - a true playmaker (never shoots)...leads team with 7 assists. With C Gomez in the doghouse and probably on the bench this leaves a joke midfield with not one creative player.

Ihemelu - led team in minutes last year and was on his way this year before getting hurt. Too bad RSL have no real striker that can exploit this missing but hopefully someone steps up

Assuming Gomez is truly benched their midfield will be H Gomez (2g, 1a in 16 games), LaBrocca (2g, 0a in 21 games), DiRaimundo (1g, 0a in 9 games), and Clark (respectable 3g, 3a in 20 games). YIKES :scared:

Rapids are not the easiest team to predict (I actually thought they had a shot in DC last week) but if it goes as planned tomorrow RSL will dominate possession and the scoreboard

- getting the best team in the league at + money in their own crib is always a nice option. both teams playing full and this could be the preview of MLS cup 2008. Houston need to erase last sunday's nightmare in NJ and I certainly think they will. They had to lose sometime as they were unbeaten in 7 before that (including superliga) and trouncing all teams at home. Chicago are a good club but I'm going with the home team
