Obviously, Sweep Stoppers refers to the team's Won-Loss record when trying to avoid being swept. Sweep Success refers to the team's Won-Loss record when trying to sweep an opponent. Thus far, I only used series that are three or four games in length, so statistics for two-game series are not included. Interleague games are included.

National League teams have been successful stopping a sweep only 44 of 94 times (a success rate of just 46.8%). That means that there have been 50 sweeps involving NL teams through July 1. Interestingly, teams have been more successful stopping a sweep on the road (28-27) than at home (16-23).
