I don't bitch alot. There will be good wins and bad losses over the course of the season. A lot of both actually. But..... yesterday I took two brutal losses, both at about the same time and while I was also watching my Celtics disintegrate in the second half.
Tampa was leading the Mets 5-2 going into the bottom of the ninth. The Mets had not had a three run comeback game all year. What happens? Mets 3 run dinger in the bottom of the ninth to tie. Tampa scores two in the top of the tenth to again take the lead. Breathe easy right? Nope. Two out two on for the Mets in the bottom of the tenth..... bam, three run homer. Mets win 8-7.
Over in Houston the Cubbies (+148) are cruising through the whole game with a 6-1 lead. Bottom of the 8th Houston gets 2. 6-3 going into the ninth. Cubs go down. Houston comes up in the bottom of the ninth and scores four more runs to win 7-6.
That's a $454.00 swing in my record from last night. Damn!

Thanks, MC. I'm not particularly fond of Cleveland but they are a better team than the White Sox who had already beaten them the last two. It was time for the Injuns to show up. They did. Just barely. They are challenged when it comes to putting runs on the board. And Lord forbid if the starter doesn't have it because Francona is gonna let him twist in the wind. I'll take today's win but like I said I always gulp when what I do tells me that they are a play.
