The public is all over the National’s today, but the line seems too easy at -124. Corbin just went 9 innings in a complete game giving up only 4 hits, 1 walk and 0 runs. His ERA is 2.85 and people are jumping all over it, who wouldn’t? He has shown that he can go deep into games, going over 6 innings 5 times this year already. On the other hand, Mahle just went 5 innings giving up 9 hits and 6 runs to the Cubs. He is looking to bounce back today. Here’s what we see, the over under is set at 9, which means we should see some runs scored. If Corbin was going deep today, the Nationals should be favored much higher, as Mahle has only shown to go as far as 6 innings this year. He is averaging 5-6 innings a game, so with an over under of 9, we are implying that the National’s score much more than the Reds as we are assuming Corbin goes his usual 7 innings. Why is it only -124 if that was the case? On top of that, the Reds are off a brutal game losing 7-2 and the Nationals just spanked the Braves 14-4. If the National’s are going to win as easy as the public thinks, the line should sit around -140. When it seems off to us, we take the other side. Lets go Reds, good luck!
