stronger on yankees moneyline. a little less on detroit moneyline and then hernandez/guthrie under the total.

mussina is just the kind of pitcher i trust taking the ball in a game the yanks need to win in order to stop sliding. must win? nah. important game? absolutely. going to back the veteran pitcher who has been very solid in june and july. the baltimore start doesnt concern me that much. ill treat it as an aberration.

id be a lot stronger on detroit if it werent rogers taking the ball for them. this is a big time sonnanstine fade. he is doing it with mirrors this year despite still being a AAA-quality pitcher. how he is on the staff of an AL east contending club is beyond me. his recent regression has been a long time coming. 150 hits allowed this year says a lot.

a .500 record and an almost sub-.300 era for hernandez is a pretty good indication that the mariners offense does little to help him out. guthrie is the lone baltimore pitcher you can trust going under the total.

way more games than i normally like to play, but feel good about whats available today.

oswalt/santana under 8
toronto moneyline

santana has been dominant over his last few starts and thats consistent with his past second halves. runs should be tough to come by here.

burnett with 38 Ks in his last 32 innings, while allowing 2 or less in 4 of the 5 (and 4 in a row). when hes in form, there arent many pitchers better than him. right now, hes in a good groove and ill take my chances in a hitters park with the much better pitcher.
