They continue complaining about shortening the game yet you still have games going on for 5-6 hours thanks to extra innings. Either limit the extra innings maybe 3 innings and call it a tie after or get rid of it completely. I went to a game that lasted 18 innings last season and left the field after the 14th. I got home and the game was still going on and caught the finish on tv. Not only does the extra innings drain your bullpen and affect your next game and affect your players for the next game but its also a hassle and a punishment for the fans in the stadium and watching at home.

1:05 first pitch tomorrow and they might play till 1 am sounds great.

Starting with the 15th inning, each inning a team starts with a runner on 2nd

Unless you're a die hard baseball fan of your team, or gambling on it, not sure how anyone else can watch this.

It just ain't interesting, because most of the time nothing is happening, and they take their time to do that nothing, which makes it look like they don't even care.

Simply put, everyone knows what the problems are. Game is too slow. There is no offense.

Today, three teams were shut out. Four teams only scored 1 run, and one of them SD actually won. SF & SD have played two 1-0 games back to back.

The umps should make a smaller strike zone. Have to try something different.

Red Sox and Yankees games routinely last about 3.5 to 4 hours. Tonight a little extreme as they already have played 18 innings and are still tied.

Guys would be literally dead by the age of 27. At the 3 year anniversary of the enactment of this idea Reno only, like, 14 hockey players left on Earth.

Calling games a tie would be a horrific mistake. In fact that's one reason betting on exhibition sucks.

I hope extra innings never changes

Who does not like "FREE BASEBALL"?

P.S. If you don't know what that means...... probably should stick to soccer, or some other half-assed foreign sport!

What they should do is start beer sales back up after the 12th inning at half price. Fans might stick around if that happened.

I don't mind the NHL format now just as long as they never do it in the playoffs. I have no problem with extra inning in regular season MLB games.

You have to understand the game and have some respect for history. Both things that young punk kids of today are not about make the effort to do.

Many people should just stick to X-Games and Nintendo shit.

There are plenty of young star quality players to carry baseball forward....... as long as people continue to pass understanding and love of the game on generation to generation. One of the true gifts of getting older is having that opportunity.

I know you have to be kidding.... but that would be far too expensive. Every venue would have to build new lanes around the stadium for emergency vehicles...... to pick up all the fall-out from the moronic drunks and the postgame damage they would cause!

19 innings is ridiculous. I like extra innings... but I think 12-13 innings is more than enough. After that, Call it a tie.
