garza is a kid im very high on. he's a better pitcher than cliff lee imo and the price here is justified. the real cliff lee lies somewhere in between the trainwreck has was last year and the cy young candidate hes been this year. i really think garza is better. indians are a limp club right now that just faced a quality pitcher yesterday, traveled down south, and now are facing another good pitcher tonight. will take my chances with the devils.

minnesota is just too mediocre offensively to justify any kind of west coast chalk. seattle is better than the rest of the rag teams in mlb. thats not saying much, of course, but it still makes them a playable team in august and september. tossed around the under, but think seattle is a little better play.

I agree with your thoughts on TB. Garza is a totally different pitcher when pitching in the Trop. I'm going back and forth between TB and the under first 5. Did you consider the under at all?

i did consider the under, but 7.5 with heavy juice on the under is pretty much unplayable for a game at tropicana. books have done a good job of taxing this total. its one of those games where i think the under is the way to go, but wont pay the price to see it. heavy juice on under 8? maybe. heavy juice on 7.5? cant do it.

Yeah, I never really pay attention to the juice when I really like a total, maybe I should start paying attention. With Crawford out of the TB lineup the under is even more tempting now. That bottom of the order for Tampa looks awful.

i should probably have worded that better. im not afraid to play a total even if if the number is juiced. but im a little reluctant to do so in the american league when the number is 7 or 7.5. in the national league? shit, ill fire away on a lincecum or peavy under 7 at (-135) if i see fit. but in the AL, i have to really like it (and the ballpark). and i just cant quite do it in tampa.
