Have not done that specific study, exp. There would be a pretty limited sampling. Not many teams blow two consecutive games with big leads like Arizona had. Then you've got to figure home / away; get like odds which would indicate like expectations - you know, quality of each team, quality of each starting pitcher, bullpen readiness etc. Pretty tough study to find like examples.
But my instincts tell me that the losing teams are gonna come to play. Managers don't like getting swept. Neither do players. Their focus should be piqued. And the opposing manager should be more relaxed and more likely to substitute some class B players in both the field and in the bullpen.
Alas, it didn't work out for Arizona.
Just three games. Move on, I'll get some unexpected intra game wins too. Lots of games. Long way to go.

Love nights like last night when they show up even though it could have been +221 better if the Cubbies hadn't blown an eight run lead. I've had my share of those big blown leads for the month already in the last four days. But not complaining. That stuff evens out. I'll win a few like that too. I hope!
