First play of the year. Early play.

Bumgarner typically does not pitch well early in the season. He gets better as the season progresses. Giants offense has done well in Spring and their offense has high expectations with all the home grown talent.

Giants Brewers OVER 7.5-120 to win 2 units.

1-0 + 2 units. Easy winner

Todays game I lean on over and SF but not pulling the trigger. I talked to EVERYONE at work and asked all my coworkers that bet (both at Comcast and my other job) and everyone is saying Giants and over. Sounds like a recipe for disaster so im not playing anything Giants today.

I am betting on TB -105 today. Nothing to do with my Giants thread, but if anyones following and likes action, I have a system play that tells me TB will win. Good luck and Ill be back tomorrow with some Giants analysis.

Running a little late on this post. Span is out sick. Smardzja is overrated. Im taking Brewers +.5 first 5 to win 1 unit and Brewers Team Total over 3.5 to win 1 unit

Another 2 unit play. Just to give a heads up, when I bet this is my increments.
1 unit = $100 (average play)
2 unit = $200
3 unit = $300 (rare max bet for me. 3 to 5 plays a year)

Im putting this in now.
Dodgers to win series play over Giants -115 to win 2 units

Between Cain and Peavy, Dodgers should win 1 of those 2 and Im probably going to have a big play on Kershaw over Bum on Saturday.
Peavy had a rough spring and as much as I love his heart when he pitches, I can see him get roughed up in a day game. Cain is just coming back from basically 2 years out (played few starts last two years). Hes a gamble. So I think Dodgers should win 1 of those 2. Saturday will be a big matchup with Kershaw and Bumgarner. Bumgarner is a very streaky pitcher. I was working the Warrior game Tuesday and was sitting in one of our radio/tv hosts talking about how Bumgarner isnt throwing the same way as last year. I didnt catch the whole conversation but had to do with his placement of his front foot as hes following through. He was saying that is why his balls were left high and was very wild. Walking a run in with bases loaded, giving up 2 homeruns. Bumgarner isnt himself. Also, I mentioned before hes usually a slow starter. He REALLY heats up after the break in addition to his streakyness. Then on the otherside, you saw how nasty Kershaw is and Im certain he wants to show up Bum after all the talk of whos the best lefty in the game. Ill add more to this on Saturday, but as of now just doing the series bet.

Great start Innit and good insight. Giants fan here. Bum didn't look himself on Monday. He was battling the flu as you probably know. Going to keep an eye out for how he does vs Kershaw and his front foot placement. Nice thread. Continued success.

4/8 Going to be riding the Dodgers today and posting this now because I will be going to the game. Ill make this statement before i get into tonites notes. The Giants will be in the top 3 in runs scored (if not 1st) for ROAD Games. They have a stacked lineup and balanced throughout. Now, My notes on tonite, this game will be completly different from yesterdays game. Ill tell you something about At&T park. This park plays with the weather. Yesterdays game was a day game and VERY warm at that. The ball travels well during the day and even better when its warm. Tonights game will have possible showers and will be cold in the low 60s. If you know this park, you know the night games the ball does not travel well. Also Posey will not be playing. Thats a hole in the middle of the stacked order. I dont know much about this kid pitching for the dodgers other than he had TJ surgery and since hes been in minors has pitched well. Dodgers bats played well in another similar park in Petco early in the week and hit nicely. For any spelling/grammer nazis, please forgive. When I post I just type fast and dont review for corrections. Speed typing. Good luck all!

Good luck my friend & love reading your analysis!

Big win for your Warriors last night....they're coming after my Bullies!!! =)

You think Kerr will sit his players?.....i doubt it. I think he really wants that record! If one team does it, i'll be proud of the Warriors cuz Steve Kerr was part of that Bulls team. We love him here in Chicago....

Thanks for the kind words Varkey. Not really worried about the Grizz as we play them twice (1 on road) but the game that Im sure scares everyone is the one at San Antonio. Im curious to see if Pop will rest his starters. Normal convention says he will, however theyre also playing for the first team in history to go undefeated at home, a record they may strive for. I first hand and personally know the Warriors WANT this record. Make no mistake about it. I personally dont get access to the players but I see the team execs in our offices every now and then and get the privalege of hearing their conversations. Theyve mentioned how the players want this record as to 1 player mentioning "There are many teams with championships however only 1 team holds a record." So, Warriors will give it their all and I would be SHOCKED if they end up resting their starters in any of their games. Kerr is a players coach and hes going to do in his power to accoomdate this record for them. Crossing my fingers..

I am afraid Matt Cain is going to get lit up today. I hope I am wrong but I am worried about him vs this Left handed heavy lineup the Dodgers have. I am just not convinced Cain can put hitters away anymore. I fully expect the Giants to lead the league in runs scored on the road like they did in 2012. Have fun at the yard.

Well, it was cool to be at the game in that enviroment, it sucked that my bets lost. Such a typical Dodger move, why take a kid pitching a no hitter out?? The Giants were not only getting no hits, but they just werent seeing the pitches. I dont think there was a single solid line drive or line foul. Everything was grounders and pop ups. Then Hatcher comes in and gives up a 2 run homer. Man I hate the Dodgers.

In any case, went 1- 1 but picked up 1 unit. BUT because of the loss it killed my series play.
Onto today. Still going to ride Kershaw (so help me god). As a Giants fan I hate Dodgers and it kills me to bet them, but I like money. I talked about the streakyness of Bumgarner but he'll have weather in his play today. Its scattered showers but not too cold like yesterday. I would have thought this line would have been close to even or a slight favorite with Bum, the fact it isnt tells me odds makers like dodgers too. Going to ride this one out but smaller than I would have originally wanted.

4/10 Picked up a win yesterday, still pissed about Dodgers taking out the kid with the no hitter. Had Hatcher not come in, I would have probably won the Dodger bet and the Series bet. Moving on. Todays weather conditions is horrible. The bats on the Giants are cold. As I mentioned Ill probably be playing a lot of road team total over but at home its a different story and the weather is probably making it worse. Kazmir is coming off a confident start and weather should help him as well. Cueto is making his home debut and our fans ALWAYS greet the new comers very warmly. I am making one play and Im sure its going to be juicy. My line isnt out yet but I maynot be around to post later.

1st inning NO score to win 1 unit (juice not out for me yet)

4/13 Going to do my first A's play of the season. Shoemaker has been getting rocked in spring training and his first start. Also, last year he was very shaky with a 4.50 era. A's have seen him plenty of times
On the Angels side, they face Surkamp, a journey man thats a fill in. Nothing special with him and Angels bats showed some life late innings yesterday

A's/ Angels Over 1st 5innings 4.5- 120 to win 1 unit

4/19

Back at it today and found a play I like. So the Dbacks and Giants both put up a show with 16 runs last night. Warm weather, I get it. But Ive said from the beginning, Peavy is done. He is VERY hittable and unless hes pitching at home on a cold night, I would NEVER bet opposing team total under against him. I have watched (both times on tv) cains two starts. Coming into this year he was very questionable. Wathcing his games hes pitching consistantly at 92-93 mph on his FB with good movement. This tells me he is feeling comforatble. In addition his one start at Colorado where he supposidly got rocked, he pitched 4 solid innings of a few hits and scoreless before he melted down in the 5th. Other than that he was pitching extremely well. Cain has ALWAYS been clutch in two areas. Pitching at home and pitching well when there is a losing streak.

DBacks UNDER 3.5 runs to win 2 units (-120)

Ive mentioned Cain has pitched well this season, in addition BOTH starts he has had 1,2,3 innings and made quick work of it. Looking at Ray's two solid starts, his first two starts he has ALSO gone 1,2,3 on them. Since I am anticipating a good game from Cain, Im riding 1 unit on 1st inning NO score

I want to bet on Giants for the game, but their pen is very shakey right now. Lopez and Castilla who are USUALLY solid in the pen have been rocked this year and Romo has been hurt. I anticipate Cain going longer in todays game since the pen was worked yesterday but I see Bochey riding Cain (assuming im right with solid performance) for 7 2/3 then going with the new guys that got pulled up Broadway and lefty specialist okert. In any case, laying off but rooting for the Gmen!

Dbacks Team Total Under 3.5 -120 to win 2 units (above average bet)
1st inning NO score -135 to win 1 unit (average bet)

Well Cain pitched decent, had a similar meltdown again in the 5th, otherwise pitched well again. I really like Okert. He pitched against the heart of the Dbacks order and shut them down and got k's in the right situation. I think Giants found a gem in him. All in all, nice sweep for me picking up 3 units. 2-0! Ill be back for todays game with thoughts and potential play.
