TB Rays past month have third best ERA in AL, trailing Bosox by just a few points (and Seattle by over half a run). In tandem with their MLB leading offense, this bodes well for the remaining 91 games

tb now that upton seems to be hitting they have a formidable lineup. if they find a rf watch out.

lad not nearly as good as their record

sf with that starting rotation may be able to stay in contention for the wild card

texas may be done, the once hot hitting lineup is slumping and the continued success of the starting pitching unlikely

phillies and mets, both are a mess right now

Since first week in May, Gabe Gross batting over .290 and playing sterling defense just like last season.

Over past month, Gabe Kapler has finally found his swing with a 10 for 32, 4HR 15RBI burst which is certainly more in line with his career good reliable offensive punch (.272 and about a 15 HR per year pace)

With Bartlett back in lineup and Ben Zorilla leading the AL in slugging% and OPS (thus thoroughly replacing Iwamura's offense x5) everything's right back in place.

And as Scott Kazmir completes what will end up being about a month off, all reports say that the off-roster coaching has him back in proper physical form. He'll replace Sonnanstine in the rotation, which is good because Andy's very strong control is tailor-made for one to two inning relief jobs.

Hamilton should be available for last 50+ games and since Apr 27 their team ERA is a bit under 4.00, which is a pace equal to 7th in MLB

And presuming Hamilton returns in full health, that puts them in a legit spot to trade a front line hitting OF for another arm to take them down the final seven to eight weeks.

I have to pay a small credit balance this week (Hi CC!) after which I think I'm going to 5Dimes and dropping $50 on Houston to win the NL (+15000)

They're 5.5 games back in NL Central behind four teams...but I like the risk to reward for a team that is at least middlin' and also can win on the road.
