During the 6 NBA titles the Bulls won, MJ never scored fewer than 22, with the exception of 2 games. Both of those games the Bulls won by 19 points, respectively.

How people keep trying to compare him to MJ is beyond my understanding. Every game over 20+ points, except the ones where his teams won by nearly 20. The comparison is a joke.

sick call on Lakers winning lotto BTW

Obviously at this point I think we can safely deduct LeBron James is 1 of the 10-12 most transcendent players to ever play. Where people wanna line that order up is on them but to think otherwise wouldn't be very sound thinking IMO..

Nobody that has ever played is really that much better than him.

Never said Lakers win the lotto. Go back and show me the post where I said that. Said Milwaukee would never win it.

And once again you would have lost, had I given the preposterous odds you wanted on the Bucks. Bucks win the lotto? NO

oh I thought you did but I obviously I believe you, my bad...Probably was someone else since a lot thought LAL would win.

Getting #2 when Cavs pick #1 is basically winning it though

True, but trying to prove I was right on a technicality.

Thats a solid assessment and a very good way to look at it.

But I do agree that MJ is the greatest, without a doubt.

There are only 2 reasons I can see in which anyone could honestly say Jordan isn't the best ever:

1. Fans who are too young to have seen him play

2. We all get enamored with certain players & what's going on NOW and tend to forget over time how good Michael Jordan really was.
Lebron, Kobe, etc. are great, but MJ had an aura about him beyond any other player.

Jordan was also double & triple teamed every single night but still managed to dominate.

He is the only player in NBA history that was basically unstoppable.

He did it in every kind of way, and even defensively.

Lebron depends on & uses his combination of size & quickness to his advantage of getting to the basket.

That's why he was near the top of the league in FG percentage. He relies on getting easy buckets.

I think his game could deteriorate quicker than others once he begins to lose a little of that quickness...

Comparing James to Jordan is offensive - not to Jordan - but to Shaq, Kobe and Duncan

This stuff is pointless. Lebron James is a lot better than Jordan. Give me Lebron and 2 shooters and I win every time. I give him the ball on the wing 15' from basket everytime and tell him to drive. What percentage will he score? All he really needs is to collect 10 fouls inside and then look at what now opens up inside. Jordan is getting to the point of being overated and eventually Lebron will be as well as eventually there will be 7'2" that can do what Lebron does. There needs to be reproduction laws.

LJ doesn't have the same success once he reaches the lane in the era of Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, Young Shaq Oneal & Tim Duncan, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo, Patrick Ewing, Mark Eaton, etc. and a toughet, more physical league in general with guys like Charles Oakley, Anthony Mason, Charles Barkley, Dennis Rodman, and so on.

LJ would hit the floor every other drive to the hoop or get it swatted away.

Of course he would still be a dominant player.
But in my personal opinion not as much...

lots of truth to this

they didn't play with the Halo Rule back then. Now you can't get within 3 feet of the superstar possessing the ball, hence the "Halo Rule"

MJ & Lebron played in different eras. Both are "the best" players in the league during their present day. Jordan is a better shooter, more clutch, and is better in crunch time. Lebron has a bigger body, more power, and loves creating assists. Lebron would rather be the next Magic over the next Jordan.

In Jordan's day, the players didnt like each other and wanted to slit each other's throat. In today's NBA, the star players are all friends and dont want to embarrass one another.

PS, I'm a HEAT fan and enjoy watching Lebron play every nite. I hated the bulls & rooted against Jordan when i was growing up
