Atlanta +?
Golden State+?
Waiting til closer to tip-off to get some juicy lines...
Atlanta, coming off 3 straight losses on the road; most of them close. Miami off 3 days of rest and 4 straight wins. Shouldn't this line be higher? Nope. ATL is a hungry team and badly needs a win on this road trip. I never like backing teams off 3 days of rest, esp between home games and coming off a few wins. Guys relax and lose focus a bit. I think they come out a little sluggish tonight. You can bet that Atlanta will be prepared. I would stay away from this one if ATL had won just one of these last 3 road games. One would expect this line to be around 6 but the low hanging fruit is a mirage, in my opinion. The last 4 wins were all very close. OKC damn near beat em in Miami.
Golden State coming off a morale building win is at home on a Friday night. More booze, more fans, and a late start time for a very banged up Houston team. Gonna be without Yao, Artest, and McGrady coming off an injury to see limited time. So, I am supposed to lay wood on the road, on a friday night in Oakland, on a banged up Rockets team? Nope, not a chance. I'll be on Golden State and I look for GSW to run and run and run along with the energy of the crowd. That place is nuts, tickets are cheap and the booze will be flowing, Oakland is no joke; I go there 6 times a year.
