I will post my record and update my thread tomorrow:
Boston@Cleveland
- The Red Sox had the pleasure of breaking out of their road losing streak against a right handed pitcher last night well tonight they face a left handed pitcher in CC Sabathia. Bad news because...
- Boston is 17-35 in their last 52 road games versus lefties and are hitting only .229 on the road against southpaws this season.
- If CC Sabathia can beat Detroit and Tampa Bay at home (two teams who love lefties) he can shut down these Red Sox.
- Red Sox are 1-4 in their last five games where Dice K is the road starter. Red Sox also 1-5 in their last five road games when Dice K starts against a team with a winning record.
- Cleveland have won 7 straight games following a game where they scored only 2 runs or less.
- Cleveland is 38-15 in their last 53 home games versus a right handed starter.
- Sabathia has won four straight games versus the AL East
- Cleveland is 14-3 in Sabathia's last 17 home starts...you can't go against that seeing how the Sox hate lefties.
- Sabathia is at his best against winning teams as the Indians have won 25 of 35 when he starts against a winning team.
- Home Plate Umpire Joe West is a prick to home teams (0-6 when favored by -120 or less this year) but the trend has to buck. He has given four straight road wins after giving away 5 straight home wins. Back on track for West tonight.
- It didn't matter last night but Big Papi is out again tonight and they need him a lot more against CC than they did.
- Cleveland is 8-1 in their last nine home games versus a right-handed pitcher. See ya Dice K...
