PS2 Video Game Simulations
Here is the deal. My capping was not on par this season in CFB or NFL so I decided to use an old capping tool that actually works pretty damn well.
PLEASE READ: The record is based on posted picks on this forum and simulated games from past weeks. I have no reason to lie since the goal here is to find winners.
We had a poster sometime last weekend who brought up the idea of using EA Sports video games to simulate games. I don't know how many of you remember when I did this back in 2005 but I used to spend hours doing pretty much the same thing, fixing rosters to the dot, using accurate weather predictions and doing all you can do have a decent simulation.
The results were staggering. The PS2 simulations hit something like 13 in a row in College Football, 14 of 16 in NFL and the same success was found in NBA and College Basketball. I got a bit side tracked with some personal stuff right after that and never thought of doing it again.
***CONFESSION***: My last three weeks of NFL posting and capping have been run by PS2 Simulations and nothing else. I wasn't doing all that well on my own but my luck has changed with the help of the system and I am going to continue using it until the end of the season. I have continued working on this day and night and have come close to perfecting spreads as well as totals heading into Week 7.
Week 5
Washington +6.5 (Winner)
Tennessee -1 (Winner) *exact score*
Denver -3.5 (Loser by 0.5)
Arizona -1 (Winner)
Pittsburgh +5.5 (Winner)
Minnesota +3 (Winner)
5-1 ATS
Week 6
Chicago -3 (Loser)
Tampa Bay -1 (Winner)
Jacksonville +3.5 (Winner)
Arizona +4.5 (Winner)
New England +6 (Loser)
Cleveland +9 (Winner)
4-2 ATS
ALL RESULTS OF THE PS2 PREDICTIONS!!! If I go back and do some Week 4 simulations, PS2 is 15-4 ATS the last three weeks.
***After last week's results, I made some minor changes before the NY Giants-Cleveland game and tested them on all the games I have simulated that week. With the new changes, Atlanta beat Chicago and San Diego demolished New England 31-10 (almost exact score). All-in-all, the PS2 went 6-0 ATS last week if I count the new changes.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 8 RESULTS
Okay we went 5-4 ATS which was a major setback for followers but I have not spent as much time on CFB as I have on NFL so changes are coming and results should improve. I am really starting to think I should use the exact same settings for both CFB and NFL because the NFL results are more consistent while CFB have been all over the place the more I change them. Two or three of those losses should have been wins (Boise State and Oklahoma mainly) but that's life. I am still pleased with the performance.
You don't have to like what I'm doing but it works. Enjoy while it lasts, I will post the picks and simulation results in this thread for this week.
Do not get discouraged if the PS2 loses one or two games. Example of this being yesterday Oklahoma and NW lose but Florida and Oklahoma State bring home the bacon at night. I put tons of time and effort into this shit and in the end it wins, wins and wins some more.

Sunday, October 19 (Day Games)
Minnesota +3
New Orleans +3
Indianapolis -1
Cleveland +9
:toast:
I am not about to summarize each and every one of the games I ran. I started late this morning which is why I am posting so late. Here is a breakdown of the scores the simulation came up with:
Chicago 19, Minnesota 17
New Orleans 17, Carolina 16
Indianapolis 35, Green Bay 19
Washington 24, Cleveland 22
I will be back to post the PS2 SUNDAY NIGHT PLAY a bit later on this afternoon.
Disclaimer: I know I'm gonna take a ton of heat for this but I don't care. Right now it's a method of capping that's working for me, it's the reason my numbers are going to get better and in this world of sports betting you do whatever it takes to have an edge. Right? So don't hate, appreciate my postings.
Bash away and good following, fading or admiring.
