MLB 2009 THE SHOW RECORD: 0-0 (+0.00 Units)
My record on the year is something like 35-45 and I am down over 100 units with my selections so like I did in other sports I will try to simulate games with exact starting pitchers and starting lineups to try and get back on track with my season. It worked to some extent for college football and it worked at times in college basketball.
As you all know, EA Sports does not have a baseball game anymore so I went out and got MLB THE SHOW 2009 and it's great. I have made all possible roster changes and adjustments in Major League Baseball for this season and have every active player in the majors setup in the game. Details of my simulations are:
Most of you don't believe in these simulations but my NFL Madden 2009 went 35-8 or something like that and I have had great success simulating games for all sports in years past.
No matter how much of a joke you people think this capping tool maybe...these video game designers spend countless hours and days working on player tendencies, team trends, player and team styles versus other types of opponents and that is why this has had so much success.
Check this out. Laugh if you want, fade if you want, play if you want or just watch if you want. In the end it wins.
I will keep all plays for 1 unit for now and see how far this goes.

- Full 9 inning simulations on quick mode so it doesn't last more than an hour per game
- Exact starting pitchers, projected starting lineups and time of game for each simulation.
- Updated player ratings and bullpen fatigue

Some of you will wonder how I pick which games to simulate because it does take time but the idea is to simulate games with decent lines and games that we can bet on at all times of the day. I normally do not have more than two games running a the same time. Good Luck to anyone who tails on the PS2 simulations debut for baseball.
