Here we go guys, been on fire lately. Love these.
DETROIT TIGERS ML -149
I know these guys have screwed me more than once this season but I am think they are going to finish off these A's road trip here. Oakland is on a disasterous, season ending, run right now and this is the final game of their East Coast trip. Believe me when I say the only thing on their minds right now is that plane ride home to Cali where they can regroup and get their shit together. Robertson is the only reason the line is so low here because the guy cant string good starts together but I think this is a great way to get back to winning ways for him against a shitty Oakland offense.
Fact of the Game: Oakland hits only .233 versus lefties on the road, Detroit hits .317 versus lefties at home.
TORONTO BLUE JAYS ML +134 ***PLAY OF THE DAY***
No doubt about it here. My hometown boys are going to be inspired by the return of Vernon Wells and they are going to pound around a lefty that has always had problems pitching here. Cliff Lee is 0-3 lifetime in six career starts versus the Jays and the Jays have won 5 of their last 6 games versus left handed pitchers. Im not a big fan of Wells but boy do they need his batting presence in this lineup and the season is pretty much on the line today. If they can't avoid the sweep, you can kiss the wildcard chances buh bye. Scott Richmond has been a victim of hard luck. Whats funny is that he was pulled off the Olympic team to be here so you can bet your bottom dollar the guys want to get him a win for missing the Olympics and joining the rotation. Cliff Lee can't dominate hitters forever and his nice little run hits a road block in this game.
Fact of the Game: Blue Jays are 9-2 in their last 11 games as a home underdog.
LOS ANGELES DODGERS ML -127
This is a trap for people who think Matt Cain is going to continue to dominate the way he has. The is a huge game for the contending Dodgers and losing this series is not an option. Manny Ramirez has brought a new pop to this offense and for the first time in years I feel comfortable backing these guys on most nights. We are talking about a San Francisco team that has won only 4 of their last 26 games as home underdogs (thats pathetic) so I don't give them much hope of winning this one. The Dodgers looked lacklustre in yesterday's 3-2 loss so expect them to bounce back here. Billingsley has owned the Giants while Cain has had all sorts of problems with the Dodgers in his career. Neither team has had much success pounding away on right handed pitchers but the door is wide open here for a Dodgers series win and they have been the better team. As a team they are firing on all cylinders (pitching and hitting) while the Giants are batting only .230 in their last 10 games and that has ruined good pitching performances.
Fact of the Game: Dodgers are 16-5 in their last 21 games in San Francisco.
