MistaFlava's 2008 MLB Playoffs Record: 3-2 (+3.30 Units)
The baseball playoffs are and always will be fun to bet on because it's the only time you can guarantee guys on both sides of the ball actually care about the game and the only time you can get a full nine inning effort from just about everyone. On that note, I had a great record in 2007 and actually had the Red Sox in all their games against Colorado but the race is a bit tougher this season and it won't be all about pitching matchups. Enjoy the selections.
Divisional Series: 3-2 (+3.30 Units)
World Series: Pending
They key to betting on baseball playoffs is to bet on the team that wants it more not the team that needs it more. Just because a team is down 1-0 or 2-0 in the series and needs to win the next game, that just doesn't matter. You can tail, fade or just follow. Good Luck to all!

Wednesday, October 22 (Game 1)
Tampa Bay Rays -101 (10 Units)
:toast:
Hamels vs Kazmir: Kind of hard to believe the Rays are underdogs in this game but when you look at the matchup it all makes sense. The last time these two teams met in a series was back in 2006 in Philadelphia (Rays won 2-1 series wise). In that series, Cole Hamels lasted only 3.2 innings, allowing 2 HR's, 5 ER's and 7 hits in a 10-4 loss. Scott Kazmir on the other hand went 5.0 innings, allowing 6 hits, 2 ER's with 9 strikeouts as the Rays won that game 7-2. Some experts may call for a Tampa Bay letdown in this game but with games 3, 4 and 5 all being played in Philadelphia, losing this game here is not really an option for the Rays and they already know that. They have soaked up their series win over the Red Sox, have had a few days off to enjoy it and should be right back on the saddle in this game. I think the Rays are going to have some success with Hamels at home where they have hit .258 against lefties compared to Philadelphia's .240 on the road against lefties. This could be a tight game right to the end and in tight game I really like the Rays at home.
See you all tomorrow for some CFB and tonight for some NHL!
