Okay let's take a look at some of the trends for tonight and come up with a pick:

The 49ers have a pretty good record on Monday Night Football covering something like 22 of their last 28 games and under Jim Harbaugh they have been very good in October (12-2 ATS in their last 14 games in this month) but I'm not convinced. They are not consistent and have covered the spread in only 2 of their last 7 coming off an ATS win the game before. St. Louis is 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine home games versus a team with a road record of .500 or better. Also consider the fact that the Home Team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings and I really think the Rams are going to make a game of this and cover the spread.

My Pick: St. Louis Rams +3.5

I think general trends work much better than team specific trends.

I think general trends work much better than team specific trends.

That is true..........Some don't know the difference though even though it is completely different.....One is random and measuring Vegas's reaction to recent events and can apply to any team randomly after fitting parameters........Another is just team specific where there can be many for or against them plus usually a very small sample size in general......Some make the distinction between the two by calling it a system or a situational........
