Took a bit of time off, enjoyed some of the big cash I brought in last week but now it's time to get serious. I don't get feelings like this very often but this is another one of those huge $10 000 PLAY OF THE MONTH/YEAR/CENTURY or whatever you to call it. If you don't believe me I don't really care because the point of starting a thread like this for me is to a) try to help others get on this play and b) for the hell of it. Still don't believe me...then watch the line movement at Pinnacle in a bit (and yes I so have a Canadian Bank Account). Alright so without saying much more about my gambling ways, tonight we have a huge 10K POWER SELECTION and that play is on:
Toronto Blue Jays ML +138
As a fan of the team, I have given up on them and I think they are done for the year but as a bettor I see a massive amount of value in this play tonight therefore I am making this my second PLAY OF THE YEAR and the first one was a huge winner. Believe me when I say that regardless of who is on the mound for the Royals, the Blue Jays are not losing this home. Okay before we go any further, please understand that:

***KANSAS CITY HAS LOST 8 STRAIGHT GAMES***
What that means is that Ricky Romero (the left handed rookie who was brilliant before going on the DL), who has struggled since coming off that DL, is facing one of the worst batting lineups in MLB and that is a lot better than having to face the Boston Red Sox like he did in his home loss last week. Let's compare the Royals with the Red Sox for a second and you tell me how you think Romero is going to pitch:
Boston Red Sox (Romero's last opponent)
Kansas City Royals (Romero's opponent tonight)
So the bottom line here guys is that Ricky Romero had to face one of the top lineups in the Major Leagues his last time out and he made some mistakes. His problem so far has been Home Runs allowed and he is facing a team in the Royals with some serious power issues in their lineup. Do not forget that even though they have decent pitching, if they can't score runs and if they only put up 2-3 runs per game, they are going to lose more times than not and Romero should find it a lot easier to get over his control issues against a team like Kansas City.
What nobody is talking about is that despite being 8-1 on the season, Zack Greinke is going to regress with the lack of productions from the bats.

The roof is going to be open tonight and the ball is going to move all over the place. Some other facts you need to know about tonight's game is that the Royals lineup has struggled somewhat against Lefties this season and even though Romero has struggled, Kansas City has hit only 13 of their 43 Home Runs versus left handed pitchers. Since they don't have power numbers, the only way the Royals can win is with the Speed Game but the speed guys on this team suck against lefties. Check this out:
David Dejesus batting .167 versus lefties
Coco Crisp batting .222 versus lefties
Mike Jacobs batting .220 versus lefties
Mike Aviles batting .195 versus lefties
John Buck batting .190 versus lefties
Not all these guys are in the lineup tonight but that doesn't matter. Vernon Wells is coming off a benching on Thursday afternoon and he will have one more chance to prove himself in the 4 spot (if that at all) in this game. This is going to be a great outing for the Toronto batters because they have rocked Greinke here in the past and despite having 8 wins on the season, the Royals have lost 3 of his last 5 starts and that is not good news coming into Toronto against a team hungry for a win and hungry for runs after a pathetic showing against the Angels. More stuff to know:
Nothing else to say. Do not shy away because of the skewed odds on this one. This is one of the BEST PLAYS YOU WILL SEE IN 2009 and missing out on this would be one hell of a shame if you ask me.
Alright on that note, LETS GO JAYS!
