I just checked the lines this morning and seen the Missourri game went down to -12.5 from -13, I think this is the best bet on the board. The big ten has two good teams and that is it. I see the tigers winning this game by 20 or more. What do you guys think?

Don't know about the best bet on the board (see TCU), but I do like Mizzou a lot. The only thing that makes me nervous is the Tigers mindset. Anyone here that follows Mizzou, I would be curious to hear their thoughts on how the Tigers are looking at their trip to the Alamo Bowl. I think the seniors leaving on that team will want to go out with a bang and they are certainly capable of doing that. That and NW is 0-5 SU-1-4ATS their last 5 games makes me like the Tigers a lot.

I can certainly understand why so many people are on Missouri. One thing I will point out to you, however, is the motivation factor. Like rowdy pointed out I'm not sure how excited for this game Mizzou will be, especially having played in the Big 12 championship game. I can guarnatee you that Coach Fitz will have his team fired up for this game. He is a tremendous motivator. Combine that with the emotional boost from having Senior Runningback Tyrell Sutton return for this game, and I think the Cats definately have the motivational edge. Is that enough to make up for the lack of talent? Remains to be seen.

As a Mizzou grad and Tigers fan, I will have a hard time really coming up with a solid opinion of what the team's mindset will be. Let me explain...

When you say "I think the seniors leaving on that team will want to go out with a bang and they are certainly capable of doing that.", I completely want to agree, but.....I've been thinking that for a month. I thought they'd beat Kansas. I thought they'd give OU a good game. I keep thinking this team will recapture their magic, and they haven't been able to do that.

This team has not played even close to their potential ever since the OSU game. They lost to OSU and Texas, then played poorly against Baylor, then lost to Kansas and OU. They just haven't had the same "mojo" they clearly had last year. If you watched them play Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl last year, you know that the 07 Mizzou team had an incredible confidence and ability that was stopped only by Oklahoma last year. They had it early in the season...check out the stats from the domination of Nebraska...but for some reason they have fallen flat.

The team is certainly capable of blowing out Northwestern, but I have a hard time predicting that because they continue to underachieve.

One note...Chase Daniel has a lot of experience playing big games in the Alamo Dome. He won the State Championship in high school in the stadium, then played in the Big 12 Championship game there last year.

I should say.....I am not advocating a wager on Northwestern...I really think Mizzou could win this one big...but I was just trying to explain why it is tough as a Mizzou fan to gauge where this team is.

Personally think both teams stink...Will be more likely to take the points here though. Good luck.

Mizzou is practicing but Pinkel is giving the most reps to guys who will be back next year. Gabbert is getting the snaps at QB. He may treat this like a Spring Game. They have the motivation to get to 10 wins and that may be enough but their defense was exposed by KU and Oklahoma.
I don't know where the pass rush went but without it they have to play a soft cover 2 that a good, mobile QB can exploit.
All that being said, I would go easy here. good luck
