Will take this versus a similar Auburn team with both teams having a new coach and have not found out what kind of team they are yet this early on.

Like they say, the shakiest bet you can make in football is to give double digits in an SEC game.

I tailed Spread Destroyer on Auburn. He really feels they can handle Mississippi State, and he gave his reasoning in one of his threads.

Looks like one of us will be happy on Saturday night.

YIKES! :smoking::eek:

Who is "they?"

Looks like I just made a shaky bet. :ohno:

Oh well, it's only 1 play. I respect your opinion greatly, so thanks for the "warm and fuzzy" feeling! :toast:

These teams are not similar...

For the record, I have not decided if I will bet this game or not. If so, it will be a small to normal size bet on Auburn.

No way I'd lay money on MSU.

The team MSU beat last week (Jackson State) would not be able to beat half of the junior college teams in Mississippi this year. I'm dead serious and do not mean that with any sarcasm.

MSU was up 14-0 at halftime. Both TDs came as a result of the snapper rolling the ball back to the punter and MSU recovering around the 20 or 30 yard line.

Also, for the record, I hate Auburn. But, Auburn had 1 really bad year that was basically the result of an offensive experiment gone bad (Tony Franklin). The difference in talent assembled at Auburn by Tuberville and the talent assembled by Croom at MSU is vastly different. These teams are not remotely similar.

Not trying to flame. Just wanted to share my input on this SEC game. Although, typing that might influence me to go ahead and play Auburn (but not a play as of yet).

Thank you for providing me and others some insight on both programs. I see you're from Mississippi, so you are also familiar with SEC football. That is what makes the Rx great. Sharing accurate regional takes.

Thanks again!

As an optimistic Auburn fan, i think Vegas is giving Auburn way too much credit.

I think Auburn is capable but has way too many question marks associated with depth especially along the offensive line and linebackers. Pass coverage was awful by the LB's and any injury to the OL would be catastrophic.

Chris Todd is the real deal and will be an exceptional QB this year, but who couldn't be in a Malzhan offense...

The only thing im concern about is it looks like youre a homer to MSU since u have the logo in your avatar..if its true then i believe the only reason you pick MSU is that its your team and you cant really see whos the better team....now if you are an Auburn fan and came out saying your gonna pick MSU because they are on the "same level" then i would back you up 100% but i wont bc i think your a homer which is the worse thing when it comes to betting college or the NFL...im not betting this game but i think its best if you bet with your brain and not your heart...now im not saying MSU is gonna lose ATS or even the game bc we are never too sure. Thats just my opinion. GL anyway.

I watched the entire La. Tech vs. Auburn game and came away very impressed with Auburn...especially with their running game, offensive line and defense in the second half...

I think La Tech is a comparable team to Miss St in terms of talent. That's all I need to know.

SEC Player Knows His Stuff

No way Aub and MsState have a lot of comparability. Lost in the shuffle is that Aub handled a solid LT team in the 2nd half.

Just an FYI...

Last year's season opener, LA Tech beat Mississippi State.
