lost one of my biggest plays of year with patriots - 1/2 pt. 1st qtr last nite. let me remind you... pats had the ball with 5 minutes to go in 1 st qtr inside jets territory fresh off an interception and holding a 7-0 lead. play looks SOLID. next thing i know... ty law is running back a brady int for a TD... the absolute only thing that coulda burned me. its like my book rolled a 00 playing roulette to beat me with just one shot.
Played -9.5 early for 800 and +11 today for 700. Can never catch a break. I have given most of my profits back trying to hit these damn middles and sides. Not a lucky person usually anyway. I'm really glad I was not watching. Have seen too many easy plays go the wrong way. It really is 10 times more depressing when you watch this stuff.
HPARK1, you are so right. I had Col +17 on teaser but why were they running plays? There was a minute and 30 left and Col had no timeouts. Why is it when you want a team to score again in that situation they just take a knee? I think this says a lot about bowl games. If this is regular season, no way they do that. Since its a bowl game and they dont give a shit, they try and score again. Makes no sense that they are running plays still.
D1, I would like to chalk it up to sheer stupidity but I have to believe thats not the case here. Just the classic covering the spread for the alumni.
Talking about stupidity at the end of the ASU/Rutgers game there was a minor display. After finally deciding to take the knee ASU QB takes the snap and waits for Rutgers defenders to get near him before kneeling. With just over 50 seconds to go on first down this is just inexplicable. All you need is two immediate kneel downs and the game is over. There's no need to burn a few extra seconds off the clock.
