Yes I fully disagree with Alec about his view on masturbating, but I think he did interpert CORRECTLY what rockingham said in his final sentence of his post. I think Rockingham is a lowlife for leaving Alec hanging, Alec grew up in Soviet Union so maybe he wasnt exposed to Christianity and knows the diffrence between what is right and wrong in Gods eyes.

I think Rockingham also knows very well that the age of accountibility is 13 , so yes I agree Espn can be whores for ratings or money at times, but there is a huge demand for this because the life lessons that the viewer and the kids take away from the Little Leauge experience. This is why we had a sitting USA President at the championship game the last 2 years.

Sorry folks, but I find putting 12 year olds in a position to fail in front of a national audience both counterproductive and exploitative. Nothing like a child striking out to lose a game while the camera gets a close up of him crying. ESPN only puts this on the air to make as much money as possible (low rights fees, decent ratings), and I think putting it on television benefits the adults involved with major pitfalls for the children.

Railbird,

Sorry but you are way off base,(you owe the guy an apology but since he doesn't know this site exists, I wouldn't sweat it.)

rockingham is a track buddy of mine for over 25 years,

his post was referring to the adults making money exploiting children.

Rail, I believe TA is correct- Alec misread Rockingham, and more than likely because he had read my post here to do with casual remarks and insults regarding little league and pedophiles, and assumed that's what we were talking about in the MW LL thread.

Delewares coaching is a joke, I make the game Deleware -105, they have to fade bad coaching, but may win anyway.

Rail,
Why on Earth would you post to Minnow here instead of over there? Although she probably enjoys not having her board filled with CRAP, we don't want to see it either

Minnow,

TA is not correct, the guy meant what he said in the last sentence and made it vauge for a reason.

There is a lot of enemeys of littleleauge baseball, Pony baseball for one, and always lots of parents and kids jealous of the attention received by the kids that are superstars and local heroes, lot of people quietly rooting against the kids if its on televison or not.

The demand is always been huge for Little leauge on televison, I havent missed a World Chanpionship game on tv since I was 7 years old.

I always thought Rail was a little older than 25.

1985: For the first time, ABC-TV carries the Little League World Series championship game live on Wide World of Sports. ... For the first time in baseball history, ABC mounts a micro-miniature camera on the mask of the home plate umpire, Frank Rizzo
