Before I start handicapping our game this week with our pick & bet. I would like to give recognition & acknowledgment for two of the handicappers who bet on NFL season on this forum. The Computer Group & captn_jay with there threads they post on this forum and positive replies there treads. Also with other members of this forum with replies, with great respect. I read there threads almost every week. I seldom reply to threads that they post, if I did? I wish them best of luck on there picks & bets always. Yes !! we might have our differences on our picks & bets, but our goals are is the same. Winning our percentage of bets not only on a weekly basis, but looking at the entire NFL season. We all have [including our crew] have up-downs through out season in losing some of our picks also on a weekly basis. But we all have enough knowledge to adjust with our handicapping skills on games we bet. Entering in the club-house turn in the home stretch, moving forward to the finish line in the NFL season. That the Computer Group & captn_jay will finish with a positive note and winning season. I will bet on it !!!!!!
This could be Peterson's best game of the year. The Bears defense is in shambles, and Mcphee [linebacker] probably out. Cutler in our option will not be able to sustain any drives. Minnesota should be able to run the ball for all 4 quarters. This is very important game for the Vikings needed a victory this weekend. Minnesota has a lot riding on this football game, lot more then Chicago, and they need this game at home with a post-season chance. Teddy Bridgewater isn't playing well? but he might surprise us all against very poor secondary of injuries with the bears, Who knows he might run for 100 yards himself on the ground game. The Bears are still one of the easier defenses in the NFL against the run this year in our option. Vikings' big three of Barr, Joseph and Smith will be ruled out for Sunday's game. However Minnesota's defense stood up well without those three players against an explosive Arizona offense, and they might be able to do the same against the Bears.
We think X factor in this game that Peterson's will have his best game of the year in this match-up, maybe 150 yards + and over 30 carries. Another key factor for the Vikings is Kyle Rudolph tight end, against a Chicago defense that has had trouble covering tight ends this season. Had a great game against very tough Cardinals defense, last week 6 receptions with average 11.2 yards, needs to step up in this game. Other stats to consider in this match-up Teddy Bridgewater threw for a career-high 335 yards at Arizona, his 5th career 300 passing yard effort, and finished with a 108.0 passer rating against the 4th-ranked Cardinals defense , that says a lot. Vikings started 6 rookies at Arizona (12/10) - RT T.J. Clemmings, WR Stefon Diggs, LB Eric Kendricks, LB Edmond Robinson, CB Trae Waynes and S Anthony Harris - the most in franchise history. These guys played great against 4th-ranked Cardinals defense [Arizona 20-23] coming off lose in a close game against very solid team and that says a lot there too. Defensively the Vikings match up well against the Bears’ strengths. Chicago & Minnesota are a very similar teams, they also rely on their running back in the running game, because they have an inconsistent passing attack.
JJ's power rating has Vikings at +8. System Smitty Ryann Jr. has this game with his analysis at 9 points+ for Vikings including home team advantage. The Vikings should win this game. They are the more talented and seasoned team, I think the Minnesota Vikings will defeat the Chicago Bears by a good margin. Our bet has a great value Minnesota -5 1/2 and the M/L in a press situation again. Our prediction Vikings 24, Bears 14
