I have been informed by Millinium mangaement that sd2's friend has had 3 bets (that lost) refunded in the past by Millinium, this is the first time the rule has cost him a winning bet. Millinium clearly has the rule posted on their web-site. I know he is a phone customer, but by accepting the 3 rebates on past post bets that lost he loses any credibility to say he did not know of the rule. As far as this rule being new is concerned, that is untrue, many books have used the 3 minute rule for years (at least 5). How do I know? I have been betting and booking horses for 35 years. In the last few years some books have allowed horse players to call up to "the break" as a marketing tool to increase business. No one likes the 3 minute rule including myself. The point is if you are going to accept rebates when you bet after the 3 minute mark and lose, then you have no beef when the opposite happens.
sd2, please ask your friend if he recalls the 3 rebates he recieved because of the 3 minute rule.
Thanks, wil.

The management of Millennium Sports reserves the right to restrict the amount of, or any bet, on any track, at any time, if it so desires. Also, after you have placed your horse bet wager with the operator, you will be given the time of day, eastern standard time, that it was placed in the computer. Your bet must be clocked into the computer at least 3 minutes before post-time. After the management verifies the results of the race, if it is found that the wager was past-posted, your wager will then be disqualified from any winnings, and your original bet will be placed back into your account.
