Former University of Alabama football coach Mike Price continues the fight to regain his reputation.
The lawsuit also accused Yaeger of making false and defamatory statements about Price during an appearance on a Birmingham sports talk show.
In the lawsuit, Price accuses the defendants acting in an "outrageous manner by the publication and discussion of this article that was false, defamatory, sensationalized for profit and outrageous in its effect on the plaintiff as it was intended to be and in an effort to inflict foreseeable severe mental anguish on plaintiff through its portrayal of him in this utterly false and unverified story."

According to the article, Price, among other things:
- Made two trips on April 16 to Arety's Angels, a Pensacola strip club, where he spent several hundred dollars in drinks for himself and dancers, as well as table and private dances from dancer Lori "Destiny" Boudreaux.
- Later that night, following a dinner sponsored by the Champions Tour's Emerald Coast Classic, he and a companion allegedly made a second trip to the club, where he met two women.
Back at Price's hotel the three engaged in "some pretty aggressive sex," according to the Sports Illustrated article. SI reported one of the women, who was not named, "decided to add a little levity" to the proceedings.
"We started screaming, 'Roll Tide,'" the woman told SI, "and he was yelling back, 'It's rolling, baby, it's rolling.'"
