jimmy mac, you are absolutely right. You are saying the same thing as me only in a different way. Think about it, if 50% play one side and 50% the other, then the line is perfect. So why does anyone think they know more then the linesmakers. Half of us will bet one side and the other half the other. At the same time the winning side claims,"I have inside info! the line is way off!!

and Vegas makes their 10%.

Take for example, INDY's game (NFL). I thought Indy would smoke Denver
49 -17. Well, I was wrong, it was 49 - 24. Ha Ha Ha!!!!
I'm no genious, or mind reader, I felt the situation looked like Den would get smoked. I was right this time, but I didn't bet the farm because I respect the oddsmakers. If the line would have been Indy -3, how many people would have bet on INDY, maybe 99.999999999%

I don't think there was one football game that had 50/50 betting this weekend. Yes,every book would love this. I don't see any books sharing their take with anyone these days. That is and was Vegas runs there books. Offshore is totally different. Most of them hold any action no matter if one side is bet 99%. Vegas would have never done that in the past.
