Top to bottom, the MAC should be pretty good this year. UMass is no longer in the conference.
EASTERN MICHIGAN and MIAMI will still struggle. WESTERN MICHIGAN will be a killer. TOLEDO
will be good under the new coaching staff, and NORTHERN ILLINOIS should be able to bounce
back. Defending MAC champion BOWLING GREEN will take a step back with so many holes to
fill. OHIO could rise up and be in the league title game, and CENTRAL MICHIGAN has an interesting
offense led by QB Cooper Rush. KENT STATE gets everyone back on offense. BUFFALO should
be decent, and AKRON is coming off a big year.

You MAC guys....who has the best chance to be in the league title game?

The BALL STATE CARDINALS are 10-0 against the spread after playing EASTERN MICHIGAN.
Last season against Northwestern they covered as 17.5 point dogs losing 24-19.

Ball State's game after Eastern Michigan this season will be September 24 at Florida-Atlantic.

The BOWLING GREEN FALCONS have been money when playing AKRON. BG is
8-0 against the spread their past 8 games..................

............Bowling Green tends to stand tall after allowing a team 10 or less points
covering the next game 12 out of the last 13 times....92 percent money.

After initial run through here are my MAC tiers heading into 2016 - I suspect I might be low on CMU and BGSU. Most improved from End of 2015 PRs is EMU. Biggest dropoff is BGSU. I have 5 teams improving from end of 2015 and 7 on the decline.

Tiers:

WMU, NIU, Toledo

CMU, Ohio

BGSU, Akron, Kent St

Miami, Ball St, Buffalo, EMU

The EASTERN MICHIGAN EAGLES take a dive the next game after defeating a non-conference
opponent.......

.............the Eagles are 1-14 against the spread in this situation.

Last year they beat Wyoming 48-29, then lost the following week 28-17 to Ball State as 4.5
point dogs.

The CENTRAL MICHIGAN CHIPPEWAS are pretty damn strong when playing a conference team
as a favorite less than 7 points. Try 19-3-2 against the spread.

During the 2015 season, they were 2-0 in this situation beating Buffalo 51-14 as a 6.5 favorite
and Akron 14-6 as a 3 point favorite.

The AKRON ZIPS have improve greatly the past four years with Terry Bowden at
the helm (1-11, 5-7, 5-7, 8-5). The Zips finished 2015 with five straight wins.

One big problem with Akron for a bettor is they can't cover the number after playing
Miami, Ohio. The Zips are a money burning 2-11 ATS after playing the Redhawks.

Western Michigan follows Miami this season. Just saying................

The NORTHERN ILLINOIS HUSKIES are an incredible 24-4 straight up and 22-6 against
the spread in their last 28 ROAD games.

During the 2015 season at Ohio State, Boston College, Central Michigan, Miami, Oh,
Toledo and Buffalo, the Huskies went 3-3 SU and 5-1 ATS.

Corey Davis...WHO?

Bet most of you have never heard of Western Michigan's COREY DAVIS. Davis is the active
leader in the FBS with 3,785 career receiving yards. He's just 403 yards shy of becoming
the MAC's all-time leader in receiving yards.

2015: 90 catches, 1,436 yards, 16 ypc, 12 touchdowns
2014: 74 catches, 1,362 yards, 18 ypc, 14 touchdowns
2013: 67 catches, 941 yards, 14 ypc, 6 touchdowns

Total: 231 catches, 3,785 yards, 16 ypc average, 32 touchdowns.

One of the best receivers in the country that no one knows about!!

Since joining the MAC in 1999, the BUFFALO BULLS are a pitiful 6-59 straight up
verses an opponent with a winning record...............

......last season the Bulls were 1-6 in this situation losing to Bowling Green, Akron,
N. Illinois, W. Michigan, Toledo, C. Michigan, Penn State and Nevada. The win
came against Ohio.

Just saying..................
